Cleaning the plinth filter
Pull the handle out of the plinth filter.
Clean the plinth filter gently and
thoroughly under running water.
Useful tip: In order to loosen any
residues from the surface of the plinth
filter, hold it upright and run the front of
it under water.
Squeeze the plinth filter carefully
several times as you rinse it.
Rinse and wash the entire plinth filter
until all visible residues have been
removed.
Gently squeeze out the plinth filter
until no more water comes out.
Useful tip: To absorb water, place the
damp plinth filter between two towels.
On a flat surface, repeatedly press
down gently on the plinth filter with a
flat hand. This will help the plinth filter
to dry faster.
The plinth filter must not be fitted
dripping wet.
Otherwise, this could cause a fault.
Carefully squeeze the water out of
the plinth filter.
If a drying programme is interrupted
with a fault message after the clean
plinth filter has been fitted, the plinth
filter was too wet when it was fitted.
Gently squeeze the water out of the
plinth filter again. Leave the plinth filter
to air-dry.
If a fault occurs again despite this, it
may be caused by stubborn residue
from washing substances. Reactivate
the plinth filter in the washing
machine. See “Problem solving guide
– Reactivating the plinth filter”.
Blockages caused by a
damaged or worn filter.
The heat exchanger becomes
blocked and damage may occur.
Check the plinth filter in accordance
with the descriptions in "Problem
solving guide - Replacing the plinth
filter". If necessary, replace the plinth
filter with a new one.
