Forcefully ejecting the disc
In the following situation, you can forcefully
ejectthediscbyusingtheforcedejection
hole.
• When the device has malfunctioned and
thedisccannotbeejectedusingtheeject
button or through the software

Check that the computer power is
turned off, and that the disc has
stopped rotating.

Straighten a paper clip or similar
object, and insert this straight
into the forced ejection hole and
push hard.

The disc tray will come out by
5 mm (3/16 in.) to 10 mm (25/64 in.),
so pull out the tray and remove
the disc.
Note
• Neverforcefullyejectthetraywhile
the disc is still rotating, as doing so
mayleadtoinjuryordamagetothe
disc.
• Donotplaceitemswithin12cm(4-
23/32in.)ofthefrontofthedevice,as
doingsomayobstructdiscejection.
