However, the user is given the option of keeping
the stopwatch inactive, leaving only the indication
relating to the pressure and to the set temperature
5.4.5 Dose programming
To adjust the doses of the DE machines, proceed
as follows:
press the continuous dispensing/programming/
stop button (Fig.05, Pos.e).
Keep it pressed until the relevant light starts flash-
ing, signalling (the machine must not supply wa-
ter) the beginning of the programming function
which lasts 4 seconds if a key to program is not
pressed.
Activate the dispensing of any button on the push-
button panel to begin programming that will be
saved when the key is selected again to stop dis-
pensing (Fig.05, Pos.a,b,c,d).
Repeat these procedures for all keys to pro-
gramme the desired doses.
5.5 Steam dispensing
1) To prevent the liquid from being sucked back
into the boiler, discharge the steam by turning
the knob (Fig. 03; pos. 9).
2) Insert the steam nozzle (Fig.03, pos.8) into the
container of the liquid to be heated.
3) Press and hold the steam tap knob (Fig. 03;
pos. 9), lifting the lever the tap will remain
open (Fig. 08). The amount of steam dis-
pensed depends on how far the tap is opened:
the further the tap is opened, the greater the
amount of steam dispensed.
4) Once the steam has been dispensed, release
the knob, remove the liquid container and im-
mediately clean the steam nozzle with residues
of the heated liquid with a damp cloth.
5) Drain the steam (approximately 2/3 seconds)
by turning the tap knob (fig.03, pos. 9) to
clean the inside of the steam wand as well.
Warnings: do not touch the steam nozzle directly
because it is hot.
5.6 Hot water dispensing
1) Place the container under the hot water tap
(Fig. 03; pos. 3).
2) Press the water tap knob (Fig. 03; pos. 10) to
get the required amount of water.
3) Once the water has been dispensed, release
the knob.
Warnings: like the steam tap, the water tap is also
equipped with a system that allows locking by
moving the knob upwards instead of downwards
Warnings: do not touch the water dispenser di-
rectly because it is hot.
