5. CLI Commands
user: role
role
Use the role command to change the Role assigned to the user entry. Three standard Roles are supported: administrator
(the default), manager and guest. Additionally, customized Roles may be assigned; see the root-level role command.
Syntax
role {administrator | manager | guest | <custom-1> | <custom-2> | ... <custom-n>}
• custom-x – Assigns a specified custom role to the entry (if created via the root-level role command).
Examples
The following command assigns the role of Guest to entry “contractor15”:
console> user (contractor15)> role guest
Update complete
show role
Use the show role command to display the role selected for the user entry.
Syntax
show role
Examples
The following command displays the role assigned for entry “contractor15”:
console> user (contractor15)> show role
