ldap-server: search
search base
Use the search base command to optionally designate the starting point for the search in the external LDAP directory tree to
search. Use the no form of this command to clear the search string.
Syntax
search base <search-base>
• search-base – Sets the directory tree to search.
no search base
Examples
The following command sets “sub-tree” as the LDAP directory on “LDAPsrvr1” to search:
console> ldap-server (LDAPsrvr1)> search base dc=tripplite,dc=com

search filter
Use the search filter command to optionally refine the list of LDAP users to search. Use the no form of this command to clear
the filter string.
Syntax
search filter <search-filter>
• search-filter – Sets the filter to apply when searching the LDAP directory tree.

show search
Use the show search command to display the search details for the LDAP server.
Syntax
show search [base | filter]
• base – Displays search details related to the specified directory tree.
• filter – Displays search details as determined by the specified filter.
Examples
The following command displays the search base for entry “LDAPsrvr1”:
console> ldap-server (LDAPsrvr1)> show search base
