Work slowly, keeping both hands on the saw
with a firm grip. Maintain secure footing and bal-
ance. '
Watch out for springpoles. Use extreme caution

Be alert for springback, Wat_ out for branches
that are bent or under pressure as you are cutting
to.avoid being struck by the branch or the saw when

2. PRUNING
& Limit pruning to limbs shoulder height or
below. Do not cut if bra.nches are higher than
your shoulder. Get a professional to do the
job.
b. Refer to 'Figure 27 for the pruning tech-
nique.
1.) Undercut 113of the way through the limb
near the trunk of the tree.
2.) Finish with an overcut farther out from the
trunk.
3-) Keep outer the way ofthe falling limb.
40 Cut the stump flush near the trunk ofthe
tree.
