7 Trouble-shooting

Unsatisfactory
wash result using li-
quid detergent
▪ Liquid detergent does not
contain bleach.
▸ Use washing detergent containing
bleach (see page 13).
Soap deposits on
washing
▪ Water hardness is too
high.
▸ Soap detergent should only be used if
the water hardness is below 25 °fH
(see page 14).
Unsatisfactory rins-
ing performance
▪ Too much washing deter-
gent.
▸ Adjust washing detergent dosage to
water hardness and degree of soiling
(see page 14).
▪ Very soft water (below
15°fH)
▸ Select user setting «soft water» (see
page 25).
Fabric stains ▪ Rust stains
▪ Chemical effect
▪ Residues from hair care
products, cosmetics and
plants can react with the
suds to cause a chem-
ical reaction that can res-
ult in staining.
▸ Brush out pockets in garments.
▸ Wash items with metal parts separ-
ately.
Colour run ▪ Non-fast colours in the
wash.
▸ Wash white and coloured textiles sep-
arately.
▸ Follow fabric care labels (see page 8).
▪ Items in the wash whose
colour has run.
▸ Empty garment pockets.
Holes, rips or tears ▪ Items in the wash with
zips or hooks open.
▸ Fasten zip fasteners and hooks before
washing.
▸ Wash delicates in a laundry bag or pil-
low case.
▸ Turn pockets inside out.
▸ Empty garment pockets.
▪ Chemical effect of wash-
ing detergent, textile
quality
▸ Do not put washing detergent directly
onto the laundry.
▪ Washing drum damaged
by foreign objects (e.g.
nails, paper clips, etc.)
▸ Inspect washing drum for foreign ob-
jects and damage.
▸ Remove foreign objects.
▸ Call Customer Services if the washing
drum is damaged.
