7 Trouble-shooting

Foam in main
wash:
Rinsing extended
▪ If there is very heavy
foaming, the programme
is automatically extended
by a rinsing cycle. This
improves the wash res-
ults, but extends the pro-
gramme time.
▸ Reduce the amount of washing deter-
gent used next time.
▸ Adjust detergent dosage to water
hardness (see page 14).
Hygiene recom-
mend.
▪ No wash cycle has been
carried out at a temperat-
ure of at least 60 °C for
a longer period of time.
▸ With one of the next wash cycles carry
out a wash with at least 60°C.
Or:
▸ Run «Appliance hygiene» programme
without laundry (see page 20).
Inlet water very
cold:
Heating extended
▪ Inlet water is very cold.
Heating is extended.
▸ No action is necessary.
Too many items:
Heating extended
▪ The selected programme
is intended for a smaller
load. Heating and pos-
sibly rinsing is extended.
▸ Adjust load to the max. load size (see
page 12).
Large unbalanced
load:
Spin extended
▪ The appliance optimizes
the distribution of the
wash load to com-
pensate an unbalanced
load. The final spin is ex-
tended.
▸ Wash large and small items together
to avoid large unbalanced loads.
7.2 Other possible problems
