5. Replace the infrared burner over the orifice fitting,
sliding it forward, from behind the forward fire wall,
so the orifice is centered inside the burner gas
inlet, and set it gently onto the burner support. The
tabs on the bottom back of the burner must each fit
through their respective slots in the burner support.
Note: It is critical to the continued safe functioning
of the burner that the orifice is centered and
completely inside the burner gas inlet.
6. Reconnect the igniter wire to the bottom of the
electrode assembly on the infrared burner.
7. Replace the cooking grid.
8. Repeat for each infrared burner as necessary.
9. If applicable, reinstall the control panel.
Convert/Check Infrared Burner Orifice (if
equipped)
Note: It may be necessary to remove the rotisserie
rod before beginning this procedure.
1. Remove the cooking grid from above the burner you
are working on and set it aside.
2. Disconnect the igniter wire from the bottom of the
electrode assembly on the infrared burner (see Fig.
35-1).
3. Carefully lift the infrared burner from the burner
support and out from the hole in the forward fire
wall (see Fig. 35-2).
4. Use a

/
2
" hex nut driver to remove the exposed
orifice. Access it through the hole in the forward
firebox plate inside the grill (Fig. 35-2). Check orifice.
If needed, replace it with the correct orifice for the
new gas.
Alternatively, the orifice can be accessed through
the inside of the control panel if the proper tool is
not available. This allows a
1
/
2
" open-end wrench to
be used instead of a
1
/
2
" deep socket nut driver. To
open the control panel, see the CONTROL PANEL
