Overheating protection
Each cooking zone is equipped with
overheating protection (internal
temperature limiter). This switches off
the cooking zone heating element
automatically before it overheats. As
soon as the cooking zone temperature
has cooled sufficiently, heating is
switched on again automatically.
The overheating protection may be
activated under the following
circumstances:
- No cookware is present on the
activated cooking zone.
- The cookware being heated is empty.
- The base of the cookware is not
sitting evenly on the cooking zone.
- The cookware is not conducting heat
properly.
You can tell that the overheating
protection has activated because the
heating element switches on and off
even when the highest power level is
selected.
