and ordinances, or in the absence of local codes, in
accordance _4th the National Elecuical Code
ANSI/NFPA No. 70.
Fora grounded,cord-connectedelectricdryer:

a malfimction or breakdown, _'ounding will
reduce the risk of electrical shock by creating
a path of least resistance fbr electrical current.

cord having an equipment-_'ounding conductor

into an appropriate, copper-wired receptacle that
is properly installed and grounded in accordance
with all local codes and ordinances. Ifin doubt, call

metal, permanent wMng system; or an equipment-
grounding conductor must be run _4th the circuit
conductors and connected to the equipment-
grounding terminal or lead on the appliance.
Fora cord-connectedgasdryer:
• This &Ter is equipped with a three-prong
(grounding) plug for your protection against
shock hazard and should be plugged directly into
a properly grounded three-prong receptacle.
Do not cut or remove the grounding prong fl'om
this plug.
