Electrical connection
All work on the electrical con-
nection must be carried out by Miele
Customer Service, an authorized
Miele dealer, or a qualified electri-
cian.
- The electrical installation must be in
compliance with current local and na-
tional safety regulations!
- The connection to the power supply
must comply with national regula-
tions (plug and outlet must be acces-
sible after the machine has been in-
stalled). This therefore facilitates an
electrical safety test performed dur-
ing maintenance or service work, for
example.
- If the dishwasher is hard-wired to the
power supply, a circuit breaker capa-
ble of disconnecting the dishwasher
at all poles must be installed. This
power switch must have a contact
gap of at least 1/8" (3mm) and also
be lockable in the off-position.
- If necessary, equipotential bonding
must be carried out.
- If replacing the power cord, use only
original Miele replacement parts.
- For technical data, see the data plate
or the attached wiring diagram.
The dishwasher must only be operated
with the voltage, frequency, and fuse
rating shown on the data plate.
The data plates (with test certificate,
etc.) are located at the back of the dish-
washer and along the right edge of the
open door.
The wiring diagram is supplied with
the machine.
The conversion diagram is attached to
the electrical connection toe-kick panel.
Grounding connection
The ground lead must be connected to
the screw connection point (marked
with the ground symbol ) at the back
of the machine.
In the event of a malfunction or break-
down, grounding will reduce the risk of
electric shock by providing a path of
least resistance for electric current. This
appliance is equipped with a cord hav-
ing an equipment-grounding conductor
and a grounding plug. The plug must be
plugged into an appropriate outlet that
is installed and grounded in accordance
with all local codes and ordinances.
WARNING
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE
GROUNDED
