Playing back a Tape

÷ This Camcordercanconvertan NTSCtape recordedin the SPmodeto the "PAL60"format,allowingyouto view it on a PAL-IV

which hasVerticalsync adjustmentcircuitryfor60Hz.

"PAL60"is a specialoutputsignal formatwithwhich a PALTV can be usedto view a tape recordedby an NTSCrecorder.

1. Set powerswitchto PLAYERmode.

2. Insertan NTSCtapeyou want to see.

3. Press MENUON/OFFbutton,thenthe MENU listwill appear.

4. Turnthe UP/DOWNdial to "PALCONV.......OFF".

5. Press ENTER,then it willchangeto

"PALCONV.......PAL60".

• Now youcansee the pictureby pressingthe PLAYbutton.

6. Press MENUON/OFFbuttonto end setting.

Notes:

__ 1. ThisCamcordercan notrecord usingthe "PAL60"system.

2. When an NTSCtape is beingplayedback,the pictureon the monitorscreenshrinksinthe Verticaldirection.

3. If the signalrecordedon the tape is in bad condition,the PAL60playbacksystem maymalfunction.

4. A PAL recordedtapecan not be normallyplayedbackwhen "PAL60" is set ordisplayed.
