Advanced Recording

÷ The MF/AFfunctionworks in the CAMERAmodeonly.

÷ In mostsituations,it is betterto usethe AutomaticFocusfeature,as itenablesyouto concentrateon the creativeside of your

recording.

÷ Manualfocusingmaybe necessaryunder certainconditionsthat makeautomaticfocusing inadequate.

÷ The AF (Auto Focus)mode issetautomaticallywhenyou switchon the Power switch.

÷ If you areinexperiencedwith camcorders,we recommendthat you usethe Auto Focusmode.

÷ Inthe followingsituations,youshouldobtain betterresultsbyadjustingthefocus

manually.

a. A picturecontainingseveralobjects,somecloseto the camcorder,othersfurther away.

b. A personenvelopedinfog orsurroundedbysnow.

c. Veryshinyor glossysurfaceslike a car.

d. Peopleor objectsmovingconstantlyor quicklylikean athleteor crowd.

1. Setthe powerswitchto CAMERAmode.(see page18)

2. Pressthe MF button.

3. Zoom in the subjectto be recordedby pushingthe ZOOMtab to the "T"side.
