Instrucciones: Bornes Pressure-Lock™
para usarse en circuitos de derivación
de 15 Amp, solo con conductores de
cobre sólidos número 14 AWG. Bornes
de tornillo para usarse con alambre de
cobre del número 12 o 14 AWG. Valor
nominal: 125 VCA/15 A MÁX.
Conexión Pressure-Lock™ (no usar en un
circuito de derivación de 20 A):
1) Retire el fusible o poner el disyuntor en posición de
desconectado (OFF) antes del cableado. Retire la
placa de pared y realice una prueba, para
confirmar que se ha desconectado la
electricidad
totalmente. Quite el
tomacorriente de la
caja.
2) Pele 5/8 de pulgada
de aislamiento en los
extremos de los
cables.
3) Empuje los cables
por completo
hacia el interior
del orificio
redondo al lado
del borne
correspondiente
de la siguiente
manera:
a) Cable(s) con
"CORRIENTE"
(negro) en el/los
borne(s)
"AMARILLO" o en
el lateral marcado
"NEGRO"
b) Cable(s) "NEUTRO"
(blanco) en el/los
borne(s) "BLANCO" o en
el lateral marcado
"BLANCO"
c) Conecte el cable de
"conexión a tierra"
(verde o pelado) al
tornillo "VERDE" del
soporte del
tomacorriente
NOTA: Para liberar los cables de encajar, introduzca el
destornillador en la ranura de liberación y tire del
cable hacia fuera al tiempo que empuja el
destornillador hacia abajo.
Bornes de tornillo:
1) Retire el fusible o poner el disyuntor en posición de
desconectado (OFF) antes del cableado. Realice
una prueba para confirmar que se ha
desconectado la electricidad totalmente.
2) Pele 3/4 de pulgada de aislamiento en los
extremos de los cables. Forme el cable
alrededor de los tornillos como aparece a
continuación.
3) Realice la conexión a los tornillos de borne
como se identifica en los pasos 3a, 3b y 3c
3a. Cable(s) con "CORRIENTE" (negro) en el/los
borne(s) "AMARILLO" o en el lateral marcado
"NEGRO"
3b. Cable(s) "NEUTRO" (blanco) en el/los borne(s)
"BLANCO" o en el lateral marcado "BLANCO"
3c. Conecte el cable de "conexión a tierra" (verde
o pelado) al
tornillo "VERDE"
del soporte del
tomacorriente.
4) Apriete bien todos
los tornillos
terminales a 14
pulgadas–libras.
Instale a toma
en la caja de
la pared.
Vuelva a
colocar la
chapa de
pared y la
energía.

Pressure-Lock™ connection
(Do not use on 20A branch circuit):
1) Remove fuse or turn circuit breaker to
OFF before wiring. Remove wallplate and
test to be sure power
has been
completely
disconnected.
Remove outlet from
wall box.
2) Strip off 5/8” of
insulation from
the ends of the
wires.
3) Push wires
all the way
into the
round
opening
adjacent to
proper
terminal as
follows:
a) "HOT" (black)
wire(s) to
"YELLOW"
terminal(s) or
side marked
"BLACK"
b) "NEUTRAL"
(white) wire(s) to
"WHITE"
terminal(s)
or side
marked
"WHITE"
c) Connect "grounding" (green or bare) wire to
"GREEN" screw on receptacle bracket
NOTE: To release push-in wires, insert
screwdriver into release slot and pull out wire
while applying downward pressure to
screwdriver.
Screw terminals:
1) Remove fuse or turn circuit breaker to
OFF before wiring. Test to be sure power has
been completely disconnected.
2) -Strip off 3/4" of insulation from the ends of
the wires. Form wire around screws as
shown below
3) Connect to terminal screw(s) as
identified in steps
3a, 3b and 3c
3a) "HOT" (black)
wire(s) to "BLACK"
terminal(s) or side
marked "YELLOW"
3b) "NEUTRAL" (white)
wire(s) to
"WHITE"
terminal(s) or
side marked
"WHITE"
3c) Connect
"grounding"
(green or bare)
wire to
"GREEN"
screw on
receptacle
bracket
4) Tighten all screw
terminals securely
to 14 in-lbs. Install
outlet in wall box.
Replace wallplate
and restore power.
