install or operate the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts.
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Slotted Screwdriver, Phillips Screwdriver, Pliers, Electrical Tape, Wire
Cutters, Safety Glasses, Ladder, Wire Stripper, Power Drill.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Turn off the power at fuse or circuit box.
1. Loosen the 2 mounting base screws
using a philips screwdriver.
Take apart the lamp shade from
base.
3. Remove the protective paper from
the adhesive gasket (AA), and
thread the fixture wires through
gasket (AA) to align the hole of
gasket (AA) and the installation
hole at the back of light, then adhere
the gasket (AA) to the back of light.
2. Drill installation holes at the back
of the light. Measure the size of
your outlet box to match the fixed
screw hole and mark the hole
position to drill out by power drill.

4. Make wire connections using
attached three wire connector (CC)
as follows:
Black to Black
White to White
Green Ground to house Ground
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product.
WARNING
Turn off electricity at main fuse box (or circuit breaker box) before beginning installation by removing fuse (or
switching off circuit breaker).
Be careful not to damage or cut the wire insulation (covering) during fixture installation. Do not permit wires to contact
any surface having a sharp edge. To do so may damage or cut the wire insulation, which could cause serious injury
or death from electric shock.
CAUTION
All electrical connections must be in agreement with local codes, ordinances or the national electric code (NEC).
Contact your municipal building department to learn about your local codes, permits and/or inspections.
Risk of fire – most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wire rated for 140°F/60ºC. Consult a qualified electrician
before installation.
Do not connect this fixture to an electrical system that does not provide a means for equipment grounding. Never use
a fixture in a two-wire system that is not grounded. If you are not sure your lighting system has a grounding means,
do not attempt to install this fixture. Contact a qualified, licensed electrician for information with regards to proper
grounding methods as required by the local electrical code in your area.
Only general ON/OFF wall switch applies for this fixture, the dimmable wall switch shouldn't be required.

5. Fixing the light base on the outlet
box at the wall by two screws
(BB). Reattach the lamp shade to
the light base.
6. Close the fixture cover and tighten
the 2 mounting screws.
7. Caulk around the mounting plate
and surface with silicone sealant
(not included).

OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
Dusk-to-dawn operation enables the light fixture to automatically turn ON when dark outside and turn OFF when the
sun rises, thus saving you energy.
TIP: To test if the light fixture and photocell works properly run power to the fixture and cover the photocell to turn fixture
ON. Shine a light into the photocell to see if fixture turns OFF.
Note: If photocell on the top of the light fixture is located in an area under heavy shade the photocell may not
detect enough light and may turn the light fixture on.
LOCATION: Fixture can be wall mounted.
Fixture designed for wall mount above 4 ft. only. Mount fixture to a grounded standard junction box marked for use in
wet locations. Suggest to install the light fixture between 9 ft. and 20 ft.above the ground.

Do not use paints, solvents or other chemicals on this light fixture .They could cause a premature deterioration of
the finish. This is not a defect in the finish and will not be covered by the warranty.

FIVE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY: If, during normal use, this PATRIOT LIGHTING lighting fixture breaks or fails
due to a defect in material workmanship within five (5) years from the date of original purchase, simply bring this
lighting fixture with the original sales receipt back to your nearest MENARDS retail store. At its discretion, PATRIOT
LIGHTING agrees to have the product or any defective part(s) repaired or replaced with the same or similar PATRIOT
LIGHTING product or part free of charge, within the stated warranty period, when returned by the original purchaser
with original sales receipt. This warranty; (1) excludes expendable parts including but not limited to light bulbs; (2) does
not cover damage that has resulted from abuse or misuse; and (3) does not cover any losses, labor, injuries to
persons/property or costs. This warranty does give you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary
from state to state.

TROUBLESHOOTING
No power to the fixture.
Photocell light sensor is sensing reflected
light.
Light cycles ON and OFF
continuously
Light Flickers
The light fixture is wired through an
unsuitable dimmer.
Light stays ON
Light sensor is in a shaded area.
Relocate light fixture to a location
where there is no reflected light.
Replace the dimmer switch to a standard
ON/OFF wall switch.
Shine a flashlight into the light sensor
and wait
a couple minutes. If the light
turns OFF, the fixture should be moved
to a location with enough light in the
daylight hours for the light sensor to
work.
Light does not turn ON
Check if circuit breaker is tripped and
confirm wall switch is ON.
Verify wiring to fixture is correct (turn
power off to fixture beforehand).
