18. MEANING OF THE ALARM LIGHTS

The light (B11) is on
steadily
Insucient water in tank
or tank not correctly in
place
Fill the tank (A12) with water and/
or insert it correctly, pushing it as
far as it will go until it clicks into
place.
The tank is dirty and/or
clogged
Rinse or descale the tank

The light ashes The grinding is too ne
and the coee is delivered
too slowly
Repeat coee delivery and turn
the grinding adjustment knob (A1)
(g. 10) one click clockwise to-
wards “7” while the coee mill is in
operation. If after making at least
2 coees delivery is still too slow,
repeat the correction procedure,
turning the grinding adjustment
knob another click until delivery is
correct (see the section “10.3 Adju-
sting the coee mill”).
The machine is not able to
make coee
If the problem persists, turn the
steam/hot water knob (B10) to the
I position and deliver water from
the cappuccino maker (A9)

The grounds container is
full or missing
Empty the grounds container
(A15) and drip tray (A17), clean
and replace (g. 18). Important:
when removing the drip tray,
the grounds container MUST be
emptied, even if it contains few
grounds. If this is not done, when
you make the next coees, the
grounds container may ll up
more than expected and clog the
machine

funnel (A8) or deselect the “pre-
ground” function
The coee beans have run
out
Fill the beans container (A3)
If the coee mill is very
noisy, this means a small
stone in the coee beans
has blocked the mill.
