z TROUBLESHOOTING
What to do when...
The ink ribbon is
separated from the
ink roller.
Is the ink ribbon in the tape
cassette loose, or did you
pull on the label coming out
of the tape exit slot?
If the ink ribbon is broken
replace the tape cassette. If
not, leave the tape uncut and
remove the tape cassette,
then wind the loose ink
ribbon onto the spool as
shown in the figure.
The P-touch stops
while printing a label.
Is there enough tape
remaining in the tape
cassette?
The striped tape indicates
you have reached the end of
the tape. Replace the tape
cassette when the striped
tape appears.
Is the battery low and the AC
adapter not connected?
Load the battery or connect
the AC adapter directly to
the P-touch.
The label is not cut
automatically.
Is Cut Option set to Chain or
No Cut?
When these options are set,
the tape is not fed after
printing the label. Check the
Cut Option setting, or press
the key to feed and cut
the tape.
Label files saved
previously are now
empty.
Have the battery and AC
adapter been disconnected?
All data stored in the internal
memory is lost if the battery
and AC adapter are
disconnected for longer than
five minutes.
Is the battery charged? All data stored in the internal
memory is lost if the battery
runs down.
Have you used the Reset
function?
The reset function clears all
data stored in the internal
memory, including label
files.
