To remove more bulk from behind the ears, use the left ear tapered guide
comb. Start behind the ear and arch the clippers around the ear for a clean
line, repeating the steps on the right side using the right ear tapered guide
comb.
When you want to blend from one section to the next, you will need to practice
moving the clipper in an upward rocking motion. This motion will leave the hair
slightly longer where the clipper pulls away from the scalp, enabling you to blend
between the sections and achieve a smooth transition from one length of hair to the
next. This technique will enhance the appearance of your haircuts.
Then clean up your sideburns, neckline and around the ears.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USE AND
CARE OF WAHL CLIPPERS
1. It is normal for the unit to become somewhat warm during normal use.
2. Avoid pressing the blades strongly against the skin, being especially careful
around the ears. (The blades should be directed toward the skin at a right
angle, but without significant pressure.)
3. After cutting damp hair, clean and oil the blades before storing the unit.
Place a small drop of WAHL CLIPPER OIL ONLY on the ends of the blades
then move the switch to the “1” (ON) position.
4. To clean the unit, use either a clean, dry or dampened cloth. DO NOT USE
benzine or thinner to clean the unit.
5. Do not store the clipper in a wet or moist environment.
6. To prolong blade life, do not use clipper on hair that is coated with a
permanent wave solution or hair spray.
7. Do not touch any of the internal mechanisms. If the unit should need repair,
do not repair it yourself. Return it to Wahl Clipper Corporation.
OIL
The blades of your new clipper should be oiled every few haircuts. Simply
place a few drops of Wahl Clipper Oil on the teeth of the blades. Use only the
Wahl Clipper Oil included in the pack. Due to the high speed of your Wahl
clipper, the correct type of oil must be used. Do not
use hair oil, grease or any oil mixed with kerosene or
any solvent, as the solvent will evaporate and leave the
thick oil, slowing down the blades. Wahl Clipper Oil is
a very thin, natural oil which will not evaporate and will
not slow down the blades.
CORD CARE
The cord should not be used to pull the clipper. Since freedom of movement
needs to be maintained, care should be used to keep the cord untwisted and
unobstructed. When stored, the cord should be coiled and the unit placed in
original box or storage pouch (if provided), away from children.

RECHARGING
1. Remove the clipper, recharging transformer and accessories from the packing material.
2. Before the appliance is used for the first time, it should be charged for 3 to 5 hours. After the first
charge, it will also take 3 to 5 hours to fully recharge the battery. During charging, the charging
indicator is illuminated. The charging indicator will begin to flicker when almost fully charged and
may shut off when fully charged.
3. Plug the recharging transformer into any convenient electrical outlet at the correct voltage. If clipper
is on, turn to off position when charging.
4. When clipper is not in use, it may be connected to the transformer and plugged into an outlet to
assure maximum power is available when it is next used. This transformer is designed to charge
the battery without overcharging.
5. The charging indicator light will illuminate when your clipper is in the “OFF” position and
connected to its charger. The clipper cannot be overcharged, so you may charge it as often as
desired.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your clipper does not seem to take a charge, check the following before returning it for repair:
1. Check outlet operation by plugging in another appliance.
2. Make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch which turns the power at the outlet off.
3. Be sure the clipper is properly connected to the recharging transformer, all connections are secure
and the switch on the clipper is turned “OFF - 0.”
4. If your electricity is connected to a master power switch, we suggest the clipper be disconnected
from the charger anytime the master switch is off. Leaving the unit plugged into a dead outlet or an
unplugged charger will drain the battery.
5. If clipper does not run and it is completely charged, turn the unit “ON - I” and pinch or push the
blades manually. (Oil may have dried out between the blades, so they may be temporarily stuck
together.)
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY REPLACEMENT, CLIPPER
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING:
• For battery replacement send the entire, intact clipper unit to:

• Do not attempt to remove the battery. Lithium-Ion batteries can explode, catch fire, and/or cause
burns if disassembled, damaged, or exposed to water or high temperatures.
• If you choose not to replace the battery, the entire, intact clipper unit must be disposed. Do not
attempt to remove the battery for disposal. Lithium-Ion batteries may be subject to local disposal
regulations. Many locations prohibit disposal in standard waste receptacles. Check your local laws
and regulations.
• For recycling contact a government recycling agency, waste disposal service, retailer, or visit online
recycling sources, such as www.batteryrecycling.com or www.rbrc.org.

were divided into four sections. Image above shows the
different sections. Using proper techniques when moving
from one section to the next will help you blend the
sections together for professional looking results.

Cuando quiera combinar una sección con la otra, debe practicar moviendo la
recortadora en un movimiento ascendente y ondulante. Ese movimiento dejará el
pelo ligeramente más largo donde la recortadora se separa del cuero cabelludo,
permitiéndole combinar las secciones con buena transición de una longitud de pelo
a la otra. Dicha técnica mejorará el aspecto de los cortes de pelo.

GUARDE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES
INSTRUCCIONES DE RECARGA
1. Saque la cortadora, transformador de recarga y accesorios del material de empacado.
2. El electrodoméstico se debe cargar durante 3 a 5 horas, antes de utilizarlo por primera vez. Después de la
primera carga, la recarga completa de la pila también se demorará entre 3 y 5 horas. El indicador de carga
alumbra durante la carga. El indicador de carga empieza a titilar cuando la carga está casi completa y se
apaga al concluir la carga.
3. Enchufe el transformador de recarga a cualquier toma de corriente eléctrica conveniente al voltaje correcto.
4. Cuando no esté utilizando la desbastadora, la puede tener conectada al transformador y al tomacorriente, para
que tenga la máxima corriente para el próximo uso. El transformador está diseñado para cargar la pila sin
sobrecargarla.
5. La desbastadora recargable se puede utilizar con el cable, para desbastar aunque tenga poca carga. El
indicador de carga prende cuando la desbastadora esté en la posición “OFF” y conectada al cargador, y
permanece PRENDIDO al utilizarla con el cable. No hay forma de sobrecargar la desbastadora, así que la
puede cargar las veces que quiera.
LOCALIZACIÓN Y REPARACIÓN DE FALLOS
Si su recortadora Groomsman no parece cargarse, compruebe lo siguiente antes de enviarla para su
reparación.
1. Confirme el funcionamiento del tomacorriente al conectar otro electrodoméstico.
2. Compruebe que el tomacorriente no esté conectado a un interruptor que le apague la corriente.
3. Compruebe que la desbastadora esté bien conectada al transformador de carga, que todas las conexiones
estén fijas y que el interruptor de la desbastadora esté apagado “OFF - 0.”
4. Si la electricidad está conectada a un interruptor de corriente principal, sugerimos que se desconecte
la recortadora del cargador en cualquier momento en que el interruptor principal esté en la posición de
apagado. Al dejar la unidad enchufada en una toma desconectada o cargador desenchufado se drenará
la pila.
5. La señal de indicación de carga se iluminara una vez que el botón de prender/apagar del aparato se
encuentre en “APAGADO” y esté conectado al cargador. El aparato no puede ser sobrecargado, por lo
cual se puede cargar cuantas veces lo desee.

3. Después del corte, sacuda el pelo, limpies y ponga aceite a las cuchillas antes
de guardar la unidad. Inserte una pequeña gota de ACEITE WAHL CLIPPER
SOLAMENTE, en los extremos de las cuchillas, y después mueva el interruptor
de encendido y apagado a la posición 1 (ON).
4. Para limpiar la unidad, use un paño limpio y seco. NO use químicos para lim-
piar la unidad.
5. No guarde la cortadora en un lugar mojado o en un ambiente húmedo.
6. Para prolongar la vida de las cuchillas, no use la cortadora en el pelo al que le
ha sido aplicado líquido de permanente o laca.
7. No toque ninguno de los mecanismos internos. Si la unidad necesita ser repa-
rada, no la repare usted mismo. Devuélvala a Wahl Clipper Corporation.
ACEITE
Las cuchillas de su nueva cortadora, han de ser aceitadas cada pocos cortes.
Simplemente coloque unas pocas gotas de aceite Wahl Clipper en los dientes de
las cuchillas. Use solamente el aceite Wahl Clipper que
viene incluido en el paquete. No use aceite de pelo, grasa,
o cualquier aceite mezclado con queroseno o cualquier
disolvente, ya que este disolvente se evaporará, y dejaré el
espeso aceite, haciendo que las cuchillas se muevan más
lentamente. El aceite Wahl Clipper es un aceite natural
muy fino, que no se evaporará ni hará que las cuchillas se
muevan más lentamente.
CUIDADO DEL CABLE
El cable no debe ser usado para tirar de la cortadora. Debido a que la libertad de
movimientos ha de mantenerse, se necesita una atención especial al cable para
que este no se retuerza o quede obstruido. Cuando guarde la cortadora, el cable
debe ser enrollado y la unidad ha de guardarse en su caja original, o soporte (si
se provee), lejos del alcance de los niños.

Al cortar pelo, debe ver la cabeza como si estuviera
dividida en cuatro secciones. La imagen de arriba muestra
las distintas secciones. El seguimiento de las técnicas

combinarlas con resultados profesionales.
