3. Automatic opening
The hazard warning lights operate 2
times, and then the boot opens slowly.
CAUTION
• If you do not want to open the
boot, do not approach the detect-
ing area.
If the hazard warning lights oper-
ate inadvertently in the detecting
area, keep the smart key away
from the rear bumper detection
area.
• If you position in the detecting
area, the boot may open inadver-
tently.

• Make certain that you close the
boot before driving your vehicle.
• Make sure there are no people or
objects around the boot before
opening or closing the boot.
• Make sure objects in the rear
cargo area do not come out when
opening the boot on the slope
way. It may cause serious injury.
• Make sure to deactivate the
Smart boot function when wash-
ing your vehicle. Otherwise, the
boot may open inadvertently.
• Your vehicle should be kept
locked and the key should be
kept out of the reach of children.
Parents should teach their chil-
dren about the dangers of playing
in the luggage compartment.
