Using the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Feature

Push the DSP button to activate the feature. The display will
indicate which signal mode is in effect. To change the signal
mode press either the left (
b
) or right (
a
) side of the selector
button (located under the DSP button).

The following signal modes may be selected:

[AS04240( X)07/94] 1. HALL”—Rectangular concert hall capacity of about 2,000.
*
[AS04250( X)07/94] 2. CHURCH”—Church with a high vault.
*
[AS04260( X)07/94] 3. JAZZ”—Jazz club with clearly reflected sounds.
*
[AS04270( X)07/94] 4. STADIUM”—Outdoor stadium with a capacity of about
30,000.

[AS04280( X)07/94] 5. NEWS”—“Voice-only type of sound with a limited audio
band.

To deactivate the DSP feature, press the DSP button again.

Radio Antenna
[AS04350( X)10/94]
The radio antenna is mounted on the front passenger side
quarter panel of the vehicle. It is a fixed mast antenna and can
not be retracted.

Power Antenna (If equipped)
[AS04450( X)10/94]
If your vehicle is equipped with a power antenna, it will
automatically be extended when the radio is turned on. When
the radio is turned off, it will automatically be retracted.

NOTE: The radio must be turned off so that the antenna will
retract prior to entering a car wash. Failure to retract
the antenna could result in damage to the antenna,
antenna base, or vehicle.
