Rotate the command dial or press it up (
q
), right (
w
), down (
e
), or left (
r
) to highlight items and
press MENU/OK (
t
) to select.
The command dial also serves as the following buttons:
q
: b (delete) button (P 58)/DRIVE button (P 37)
w
:
N ( ash) button (P 32)
e
: WB (white balance) button (P 35)
r
: F (macro) button (P 34)
You can also rotate the command dial to choose a combination of shutter speed and aperture
(program shift; P 24) or to adjust shutter speed in increments of 
/
 EV (P 25, 27).
Control Lock
Control Lock
To lock the RAW button and prevent the command dial being used as a DRIVE,  ash, white balance, or macro
button, press MENU/OK until X is displayed. This prevents accidental operation of these controls during shooting.
The controls can be unlocked by pressing MENU/OK until X is no longer displayed.
