WATER FILTER
NOTE : This refrigerator does not require a lter bypass
plug when the lter is not in place.
It is recommended that you replace the water lter:
Approximately every six months.
When the water lter indicator turns on.
When the water dispenser output decreases.
When the ice cubes are smaller than normal.
2. Replace with a new water lter.
Insert the new lter into the lter head and rotate it
clockwise until the arrow on the new lter lines up with
the arrow on the lter head. Swing the lter back into
the compartment.
Assemble the door bin.
3. After the water lter is replaced, dispense 2.5
gallons of water ( ush for approximately 5 minutes)
to remove trapped air and contaminants from
the system. Do not dispense the entire 2.5 gallon
amount continuously. Depress and release the
dispenser pad for cycles of 30 seconds ON and 60
seconds OFF.
4. Press and hold the Water Filter button for 3 seconds
to reset the indicator.
CAUTION: Operating the refrigerator with a water
lter is recommended. However, no bypass lter plug
is necessary if there is no water lter installed.
