Samsung BD-H6500 Questions and Answers

#1 How is the remote? My present Samsung blu-ray player is frustratingly slow as compared to my current Sony and all previous Sony players owned by me.

The remote response and Load response on my previous Samsung Blu Ray player was slow too. I do believe they fixed the issue with this model. The Blu Ray loads much faster and the remote response is good.

#2 Will the smart feature on this communicate with my samsung smart TV?

It's not clear to mean what you mean. In what way do you want the player to communicate with your TV? The "smart" features are pretty much the same on the TV as on the BluRay player. I don't see where they would have to communicate with each other.

#3 Does it have a pause button on the unit? On the remote?

It has a pause /play button on the unit and a separate pause and play on the remote.

#4 What connection jacks are there to connect to my Samsung TV and current dvd surround system?

You can connect to your surround system using a digital optical output of this Blu-ray player.

#5 Does the remote on the BDH 6500 have an eject button?

Yes! The eject button is below the left power button. It's a upwardly pointing triangle button

#6 Which wireless keyboards work? No blutooth, correct?

I do not believe there is Bluetooth, but I never tried, nor for the keyboards, but if I were to guess with my experience in technology, I would say a wireless keyboard with plug and play capability, one that you just plug the wireless signaling device into the usb port and you can use right away without downloading drivers, as you might have to do with some wireless keyboards for desktops.

#7 How does the fast backward & forward show pictures on the screen and can you do slow motion?

In digital media all fast forward and reverse and slow motion is by frames. To your question look at page 30 in your user manual "media play" under "controlling video playback" and it details all you need to know. Slow motion is-pause + fast forward or reverse.
