PRECAUTIONS
1. Ensure that the AC power supply in your
house complies with the power
requirements listed on the identication
sticker located on the bottom of your
product. Install your product horizontally, on
a suitable base (furniture), with enough
space around it for ventilation (3~4 inches).
Make sure the ventilation slots are not
covered. Do not place the unit on ampliers
or other equipment which may become hot.
This unit is designed for continuous use. To
fully turn off the unit, disconnect the AC plug
from the wall outlet. Unplug the unit if you
intend to leave it unused for a long period of
time.
2. During thunderstorms, disconnect the AC
plug from the wall outlet. Voltage peaks due
to lightning could damage the unit.
3. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or
other heat sources. This could lead to
overheating and cause the unit to
malfunction.
4. Protect the product from moisture (i.e.
vases), and excess heat (e.g. a replace) or
equipment creating strong magnetic or
electric elds. Unplug the power cable from
the AC wall socket if the unit malfunctions.
Your product is not intended for industrial
use. It is for personal use only. Condensation
may occur if your product has been stored in
cold temperatures. If transporting the unit
during the winter, wait approximately
2 hours until the unit has reached room
temperature before using.
5. The battery used with this product contains
chemicals that are harmful to the
environment. Do not dispose of the battery

Inserting Batteries before using the Remote Control (AA batteries X 2)
Slide the battery cover in the direction of the arrow until it is completely removed. Insert 2 AA batteries
(1.5V) oriented so that their polarity is correct. Slide the battery cover back into position.

• To turn on “BT PAIRING” mode, change the source to “BT” mode, and then press and hold the
(Source) button for more than 5 seconds.

When you plug in the AC cord, the power button will begin working in 4 to 6 seconds.

When you turn on this unit, there will be a 4 to 5 second delay before it produces sound.
•
If you want to enjoy sound only from the Soundbar, you must turn off the TV’s speakers in the Audio
Setup menu of your TV. Refer to the owner’s manual supplied with your TV.

03 CONNECTING THE SOUNDBAR
Connecting Electrical Power
Use the power components (1, 2) to connect the Soundbar to an electrical outlet in the following order:
1 Connect the power output cable to the power adapter, and then to the Soundbar.

Connect the power cord to a wall socket.
See the illustrations below.

• Make sure to rest the AC/DC Adapter at
on a table or the oor. If you place the
AC/DC Adapter so that it is hanging with
the AC cord input facing upwards, water
or other foreign substances could enter
the Adapter and cause the Adapter to
malfunction.
Expand to true wireless surround sound by connecting the Samsung Wireless Rear Speaker
Kit (SWA-8500S) to your Soundbar (Sold separately). For more information, see the
Samsung Wireless Rear Speaker Kit manual.

04 CONNECTING TO YOUR TV
Hear TV sound from your Soundbar through wired or wireless connections.
• When the Soundbar is connected to selected Samsung TVs, the Soundbar can be controlled using
the TV’s remote control.
– When you connect using an optical cable, this feature is supported by 2017 Samsung Smart TVs
that support Bluetooth.
– This function also allows you to use the TV menu to adjust the sound eld and various settings
as well as the volume and mute.

1. Connect the DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL) jack on the Soundbar to the OPTICAL OUT jack of the TV
with a digital optical cable.
2. Press the (Source) button on the right side panel or remote control, and then select the “D.IN”
mode.

Auto Power Link
Auto Power Link automatically turns on the Soundbar when the TV is turned on.
1. Connect the Soundbar and a TV with a digital optical cable.
2. Press the Left button on the remote control for 5 seconds to turn Auto Power
Link on or off.
• Auto Power Link is set to ON by default.
(To turn off this function, turn off Auto Power on the Soundbar.)
• Depending on the connected device, Auto Power Link may not function.
• This function is only available in the “D.IN” mode.

1. With the Soundbar and TV turned on, connect the HDMI cable (not supplied) as shown in the gure.
2. “TV ARC” appears in the display window of the Soundbar main unit and the Soundbar plays TV
sound.
• If TV sound is inaudible, press the (Source) button on the remote control or on the right side
of the Soundbar to switch to “D.IN” mode. The screen displays “D.IN” and “TV ARC” in sequence,
and TV sound is played.

• If “TV ARC” does not appear in the display window of the Soundbar main unit, conrm that the
cable is connected to the correct port.
• Use the volume buttons on the TV’s remote control to change the volume on the Soundbar.
NOTES
• HDMI is an interface that enables the digital transmission of video and audio data with just a single
connector.
• If the TV provides an ARC port, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN (ARC) port.
• We recommend you use a coreless HDMI cable if possible. If you use a cored HDMI cable, use one
whose diameter is less than 14 mm.
• Anynet+ must be turned on.
• This function is not available if the HDMI cable does not support ARC.
Method 2. Connecting Wirelessly
Connecting a TV via Bluetooth
When a TV is connected using Bluetooth, you can hear stereo sound without the hassle of cabling.
• Only one TV can be connected at a time.
The initial connection
1. Press the (Source) button on the right side panel or on the remote control, and then select
“BT”.
2. Change “BT” to “BT PAIRING”.
• When “BT READY” appears, press the PAIR button on the remote control or press and hold
the (Source) button on the right side panel of the Soundbar for more than 5 seconds to
display “BT PAIRING”.
3. Select Bluetooth mode on the TV. (For more information, see the TV’s manual.)
4. Select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx N-Series” from the list on TV’s screen.
An available Soundbar is indicated with “Need Pairing” or “Paired” on the TV Bluetooth device list.
To connect the TV to the Soundbar, select the message, and then establish a connection.
• When the TV is connected, [TV Name] → “BT” appears on the Soundbar’s front display.
5. You can now hear TV sound from the Soundbar.
NOTE
• After you have connected the Soundbar to your TV the rst time, use the “BT READY” mode to
reconnect. See Page 9 for details.

If the device fails to connect
• If the previously connected Soundbar listing (e.g. “[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx N-Series”)
appears in the list, delete it.
• Press the PAIR button on the remote control or in “BT” mode, press and hold the (Source)
button for more than 5 seconds on the right side of the Soundbar to switch to “BT PAIRING” mode.
Then, select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx N-Series” from the TV’s search list.
What is the difference between BT READY and BT PAIRING?
• BT READY : In this mode, you can search for previously connected TVs or connect a previously
connected mobile device to the Soundbar.
• BT PAIRING : In this mode, you can connect a new device to the Soundbar. (Press the PAIR button
on the remote control or press and hold the (Source) button for more than 5 seconds on the
right side of the Soundbar while in “BT” mode.)
NOTES
• If asked for a PIN code when connecting a Bluetooth device, enter <0000>.
• In Bluetooth connection mode, the Bluetooth connection will be lost if the distance between the
Soundbar and the Bluetooth device exceeds 32.8 ft.
• The Soundbar automatically turns off after 5 minutes in the Ready state.
• The Soundbar may not perform Bluetooth search or connection correctly under the following
circumstances:
– If there is a strong electrical eld around the Soundbar.
– If several Bluetooth devices are simultaneously paired with the Soundbar.
– If the Bluetooth device is turned off, not in place, or malfunctions.
• Electronic devices may cause radio interference. Devices that generate electromagnetic waves
must be kept away from the Soundbar main unit - e.g., microwaves, wireless LAN devices, etc.
Disconnecting the Soundbar from the TV
Press the (Source) button on the right side panel or on the remote control and switch to any mode
but “BT”.
• Disconnecting takes time because the TV must receive a response from the Soundbar.
(The time required may differ, depending on the TV model.)
• To cancel the automatic Bluetooth connection between the Soundbar and TV, press the
p (Play/Pause) button on the remote control for 5 seconds in “BT READY” status. (Toggle On → Off)

product to the HDMI IN jack on your TV.
2. Connect an HDMI cable (not supplied) from the HDMI IN jack on the back of the product to the
HDMI OUT jack on your digital device.
3. Press the (Source) button on the right side panel or on the remote control, and then select
“HDMI”.
4. “HDMI” mode is displayed on the Soundbar display panel and sound plays.

1. Connect a Micro USB to USB adapter cable with a male USB 2.0 Micro USB plug (Type B) on one
end and a standard female 2.0 USB jack (Type A) on the other end to the micro USB jack on your
Soundbar.
• The Micro USB to USB adapter cable is sold separately. To purchase, contact a Samsung Service
Center or Samsung Customer Care.
2. Connect your USB device to the female end of the adapter cable.
3. Press the (Source) button on the right side panel or on the remote control, and then select
“USB”.
4. “USB” appears in the display screen.
5. Play music les from the USB storage device through the Soundbar.
• The Soundbar automatically turns off (Auto Power Off) if no USB device has been connected for
more than 5 minutes.

07 CONNECTING A MOBILE DEVICE
Connecting via Bluetooth
When a mobile device is connected using Bluetooth, you can hear stereo sound without the hassle of
cabling.
• You cannot connect more than one Bluetooth device at a time.

The initial connection
1. Press the (Source) button on the right side panel or on the remote control, and then select
“BT”.
2. Change “BT” to “BT PAIRING”.
• When “BT READY” appears, press the PAIR button on the remote control or press and hold
the (Source) button on the right side panel of the Soundbar for more than 5 seconds to
display “BT PAIRING”.
3. Select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx N-Series” from the list that appears.
• When the Soundbar is connected to the Bluetooth device, [Bluetooth Device Name] → “BT”
appears in the front display.
4. Play music les from the device, connected via Bluetooth, through the Soundbar.
NOTE
• After you have connected the Soundbar to your mobile device the rst time, use the “BT READY”
mode to reconnect. See Page 15 for details.
If the device fails to connect
• If a previously connected Soundbar listing (e.g. “[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx N-Series”) appears
in the list, delete it.
• Press the PAIR button on the remote control or in “BT” mode, press and hold the (Source)
button for more than 5 seconds on the right side of the Soundbar to switch to “BT PAIRING” mode.

What is the difference between BT READY and BT PAIRING?
• BT READY : In this mode, you can search for previously connected TVs or connect a previously
connected mobile device to the Soundbar.
• BT PAIRING : In this mode, you can connect a new device to the Soundbar. (Press the PAIR button
on the remote control or press and hold the (Source) button for more than 5 seconds on the
right side of the Soundbar while in “BT” mode.)

• If asked for a PIN code when connecting a Bluetooth device, enter <0000>.
• In Bluetooth connection mode, the Bluetooth connection will be lost if the distance between the
Soundbar and the Bluetooth device exceeds 10 meters.
• The Soundbar automatically turns off after 5 minutes in the Ready state.
• The Soundbar may not perform Bluetooth search or connection correctly under the following

• The Soundbar supports SBC data (44.1kHz, 48kHz).
• Connect only to a Bluetooth device that supports the A2DP (AV) function.
• You cannot connect the Soundbar to a Bluetooth device that supports only the HF (Hands Free)
function.
• Once you have paired the Soundbar to a Bluetooth device, selecting “[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx
N-Series” from the device’s scanned devices list will automatically change the Soundbar to “BT”
mode.
– Available only if the Soundbar is listed among the Bluetooth device’s paired devices.
(The Bluetooth device and the Soundbar must have been previously paired at least once.)
• The Soundbar will appear in the Bluetooth device’s searched devices list only when the Soundbar is
displaying “BT READY”.
• Soundbar cannot be paired to another Bluetooth device, while using the Bluetooth function.
Bluetooth Power On (SOUND MODE)
If a previously paired Bluetooth device tries to pair with the Soundbar when the Bluetooth Power On
function is on and the Soundbar is turned off, the Soundbar turns on automatically.
1. Press and hold the SOUND MODE button for more than 5 seconds on the remote while the
Soundbar is turned on.
2. “ON-BLUETOOTH POWER” appears on the Soundbar’s display.

Disconnecting the Bluetooth device from a Soundbar
You can disconnect a Bluetooth device from the Soundbar. For instructions, see the Bluetooth device’s
user manual.
• The Soundbar will be disconnected.
• When the Soundbar is disconnected from the Bluetooth device, the Soundbar will display
“BT DISCONNECTED” on the front display.
Disconnecting the Soundbar from the Bluetooth device
Press the (Source) button on the right side panel or on the remote control, and then change to any
mode except “BT”.
• Disconnecting takes time because the Bluetooth device must receive a response from the
Soundbar. (Disconnection time may differ, depending on the Bluetooth device)
• When the Soundbar is disconnected from the Bluetooth device, the Soundbar will display
“BT DISCONNECTED” on the front display.
NOTES
• In Bluetooth connection mode, the Bluetooth connection will be lost if the distance between the
Soundbar and the Bluetooth device exceeds 10 meters.
• The Soundbar automatically turns off after 5 minutes in the Ready state.
More About Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a technology that enables Bluetooth-compliant devices to interconnect easily with each
other using a short wireless connection.
• A Bluetooth device may cause noise or malfunction, depending on usage, if:
– A part of your body is in contact with the receiving/transmitting system of the Bluetooth
device or the Soundbar.
– It is subject to electrical variation from obstructions caused by a wall, corner, or ofce partition.
– It is exposed to electrical interference from same frequency-band devices including medical
equipment, microwave ovens, and wireless LANs.
• Pair the Soundbar with the Bluetooth device while they are close together.
• The further the distance between the Soundbar and Bluetooth device, the worse the quality is.
If the distance exceeds the Bluetooth operational range, the connection is lost.
• In poor reception areas, the Bluetooth connection may not work properly.
• The Bluetooth connection only works when it is close to the unit. The connection will be
automatically cut off if the Bluetooth device is out of range. Even within range, the sound quality
may be degraded by obstacles such as walls or doors.
• This wireless device may cause electric interference during its operation.

Press and hold the Right button for 5 seconds to toggle Anynet+ ON and OFF.
– Auto Power Link : If the Soundbar is connected to your TV through a digital optical
cable, the Soundbar can automatically turn on when you turn on your TV. Press
and hold the Left button for 5 seconds to toggle Auto Power Link ON and OFF.
– Anynet+ / Auto Power Link are set to ON by default.

• Volume restriction function
Because it may damage hearing when the power is turned on at high volumes, it
adjusts the volume to 20 when the set volume is higher than 20.
– The default value for Volume restriction is off. The set volume is maintained even
when the power is turned off.
– To change the setting, press and hold the Down button on the remote control for
5 seconds. With the volume restriction off, “V FREE” appears on the front display
and with the function on, “V LOCK” appears.

for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2KHz, 2.5KHz, 5KHz, and 10KHz are
selectable (Left/Right) and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 ~ +6 (Up/
Down).
• If the video and audio between the TV and your Soundbar are not synchronized, select
AUDIO SYNC in Sound Settings, and then
set audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds
by using the Up/Down buttons. (Except “USB” mode)
• If surround speakers (not supplied) are connected, select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/
Down buttons to adjust the volume within the -6 to +6 range.
The REAR SPEAKER function can be turned ON/OFF by using the Up/Down buttons.
• AUDIO SYNC is only supported in some functions.

Adjusting the Soundbar volume with a TV remote control
Use the TV menu to set the TV speaker on a Samsung TV to external speakers.
(For more information, see the TV’s user manual.)
• After installing the Soundbar, you can adjust the Soundbar’s volume using the IR remote control
that came with a Samsung TV. (If you do not want to use this function, when the Soundbar is on,
push the BASS button up and hold it for 5 seconds. “OFF-TV REMOTE” appears in the Soundbar’s
display and the function turns off.)
To adjust the volume using only the Samsung TV remote control, push the BASS button up and hold
it for more than 5 seconds until “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE” appears in the Soundbar display.
– Each time you push the BASS button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the
following order: “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE” (Default mode) → “OFF-TV REMOTE” → “ALL-TV
REMOTE”.
• To adjust the Soundbar volume with the remote control that came with a TV made by a third party
manufacturer, turn the Soundbar on, push the BASS button up and hold it for 5 seconds
(“OFF-TV REMOTE” appears on the Soundbar’s display), release the BASS button, and then push the
BASS button up and hold it again for more than 5 seconds. (“ALL-TV REMOTE” appears on the
Soundbar’s display.)
– This function may not be available, depending on the remote control.

WALL MOUNT
Installation Precautions
• Install on a vertical wall only.
• Do not install in a place with high
temperature or humidity.
• Verify whether the wall is strong enough to
support the product’s weight. If not, reinforce
the wall or choose another installation point.
• Purchase and use the xing screws or
anchors appropriate for the kind of wall you
have (plaster board, iron board, wood, etc.). If
possible, x the support screws into wall
studs.
• Purchase wall mounting screws according to
the type and thickness of the wall you want to
mount the Soundbar on.

recommended.
• Connect cables from the unit to external
devices before you install the Soundbar on
the wall.
• Make sure the unit is turned off and
unplugged before you install it. Otherwise, it
may cause an electric shock.

hole in the wall at each marking.

appropriate anchors or mollies into the
holes before you insert the support
screws. If you use anchors or mollies,

enough for the anchors or mollies you
use.
5. Push a screw (not supplied) through each
Holder-Screw, and then screw each screw
rmly into a support screw hole.
6. Install the 2 Bracket-Wall Mounts in the
correct orientation on the bottom of the
Soundbar using 2 Screws.
• When assembling, make sure the hanger
part of the Bracket-Wall Mounts are
located behind the rear of the Soundbar.

7. Install the Soundbar with the attached
Bracket-Wall Mounts by hanging the
Bracket-Wall Mounts on the Holder-Screws
on the wall.
8. Slide the Soundbar down as shown below so
that the Bracket-Wall Mounts rest securely
on the Holder-Screws.
• Insert the Holder-Screws into the wide
(bottom) part of the Bracket-Wall
Mounts, and then slide the Bracket-Wall
Mounts down so that Bracket-Wall
Mounts rest securely on the

Updating Procedure
1. Connect a Micro USB to USB adapter cable
with a male USB 2.0 Micro USB plug (Type B)
on one end and a standard female 2.0 USB
jack (Type A) on the other end to the micro
USB jack on your Soundbar.
• The Micro USB to USB adapter cable is
sold separately. To purchase, contact a
Samsung Service Centre or Samsung
Customer Care.
2. Follow the steps below to download the
product software:
Go to the Samsung website at
(samsung.com)
search for the model name
- select the customer support option (the
option name is subject to change)
3. Save the downloaded software to a USB
stick and select “Extract Here” to unzip the
folder.
4. Turn off the Soundbar and connect the USB
stick containing the software update to the
female port on a Micro USB adapter cable.
Connect the cable to the USB port on the
Soundbar.
5. Turn on the Soundbar. Within 3 minutes,
“UPDATE” is displayed and updating begins.
6. When the update nishes, the Soundbar
turns off. Press the p button on the remote
control for 5 seconds. “INIT” appears on the
display and then the Soundbar turns off.
The update is complete.
• This product has a DUAL BOOT function.
If the rmware fails to update, you can
update the rmware again.
If UPDATE is not displayed
1. Turn off the Soundbar, disconnect and then
reconnect the USB storage device that
contains the update les to the Soundbar’s
USB port.
2. Disconnect the Soundbar’s power cord,
reconnect it, and then turn on the Soundbar.
• Updating rmware may not work
properly if audio les supported by the
Soundbar are stored in the USB storage
device.
• Do not disconnect the power or remove
the USB device while updates are being
applied. The main unit will turn off
automatically after completing the
rmware update.
• After update is completed, the user setup
in Soundbar is initialised. We recommend
you write down your settings so that you
can easily reset them after the update.
If the software update fails, check if the
USB stick is defective.
• Mac OS users should use MS-DOS (FAT)
as the USB format.
• Updating via USB may not be available,
depending on the USB storage device
manufacturer.

Is the power cord plugged into the outlet?

A function does not work when the button is pressed.
Is there static electricity in the air?

Sound is not produced.
Is the Mute function on?
; Press the VOL button to cancel the function.
Is the volume set to minimum?

Are the batteries drained?

troisième broche sont destinées à assurer
votre sécurité. Si la che fournie ne s’insère
pas dans la prise utilisée, faites appel à un
électricien pour faire remplacer celle-ci.
10. Placez le cordon d’alimentation de sorte qu’il
ne puisse être ni piétiné ni pincé,
particulièrement au niveau de la che, de la
prise de courant et du point de sortie de
l’appareil.
11. Utilisez exclusivement les xations/

PRÉCAUTIONS
1. Assurez-vous que le bloc d’alimentation CA
chez vous est conforme aux exigences de
puissance gurant sur la plaque
d’identication située à l’arrière de votre
produit. Installez votre produit
horizontalement, sur un socle approprié
(meuble), en laissant un espace sufsant
pour la ventilation sur le pourtour 3~4 po.
Faites attention à ne pas obstruer les orices
de ventilation. Ne posez pas l’ensemble sur
un amplicateur ou un autre appareil
susceptible de chauffer. Cet ensemble est
conçu pour une utilisation en continu.
Pour éteindre totalement l’appareil,
débranchez la che c.a. de la prise murale.
Débranchez l’appareil si vous prévoyez une
longue période d’inactivité.
2. En cas d’orage, débranchez la che de
l’appareil de la prise murale. Les surtensions
occasionnées par l’orage pourraient
endommager votre appareil.
3. N’exposez pas l’ensemble aux rayons directs
du soleil ou à toute autre source de chaleur.
Cela pourrait causer une surchauffe du l et
causer un dysfonctionnement de l’unité.

Protégez le produit de l’humidité (comme les
vases) et d’une chaleur excessive (comme une
cheminée) ou de tout équipement capable de
créer des champs magnétiques ou électriques.
Débranchez le câble d’alimentation en cas de
dysfonctionnement. Votre produit n’est pas
prévu pour un usage industriel. Ce produit ne
peut être utilisé qu’à des ns personnelles.
Une condensation peut se former si le produit
ou un disque a été stocké à basse
température. Si vous devez transporter
l’ensemble pendant l’hiver, attendez environ
2 heures que l’appareil ait atteint la

Insertion des piles avant d’utiliser la télécommande (2 piles AA)
Faites glisser le couvercle des piles dans la direction de la èche jusqu’à son retrait complet. Insérez 2
piles AA (1,5V) dans le bon sens (polarité correcte). Remettez le couvercle en place.

• Pour activer le mode «BT PAIRING» , dénissez la source sur le mode «BT», puis appuyez sur le
bouton (Source) et maintenez-le appuyé pendant plus de 5 secondes.
• Lorsque vous branchez le cordon c.a., la touche de mise en fonction s’activera dans un délai de 4 à
6 secondes.
• Lorsque vous mettez cet appareil sous tension, un délai de 4 à 5 secondes précède l’émission du son.
• Si vous souhaitez restituer le son uniquement du Soundbar, vous devez mettre les haut-parleurs du
téléviseur hors fonction dans le menu de réglage du son de votre téléviseur. Reportez-vous au

04 BRANCHEMENT À VOTRE TÉLÉVISEUR
Diffusez le son de votre téléviseur par le Soundbar à l’aide de connexion laires ou sans l.
• Lorsque le Soundbar est connecté à un téléviseur Samsung sélectionné, il peut être contrôlé à l’aide
de la télécommande du téléviseur.
– Lorsque vous utilisez un câble optique, cette fonction peut être prise en charge par les
téléviseurs intelligents Samsung de 2017 qui prennent en charge le Bluetooth.
– Cette fonction vous permet également d’utiliser le menu du téléviseur pour régler le son et
d’autres paramètres, ainsi que le volume et la mise en sourdine.

Auto Power Link
La fonction Auto Power Link active le Soundbar lorsque le téléviseur est allumé.
1. Connectez le Soundbar et un téléviseur à l’aide d’un câble optique numérique.
2. Appuyez sur le bouton de Gauche de la télécommande pendant 5 secondes
pour activer ou désactiver la fonction Auto Power Link.
• La fonction Auto Power Link est réglée sur ON par défaut.
(Pour la désactiver, désactivez la fonction Auto Power à l’aide du Soundbar.)
• En fonction du périphérique branché, il se peut que la fonction Auto Power
Link ne fonctionne pas.

• Si le son du téléviseur est inaudible, appuyez sur le bouton (Source) situé sur la
télécommande ou sur la face droite du Soundbar pour passer en mode «D.IN».
L’écran afche à la suite «D.IN» et «TV ARC», et le son du téléviseur est diffusé.

• Si l’option «TV ARC» ne s’afche pas sur l’écran d’afchage du Soundbar, vériez que le câble
est branché sur le bon port.
• Utilisez les boutons de volume de la télécommande du téléviseur pour régler le volume du
Soundbar.
REMARQUES
• HDMI est une interface qui permet la transmission numérique de données vidéo et audio avec un
seul connecteur.
• Si le téléviseur dispose d’un port ARC, connectez le câble HDMI au port HDMI IN (ARC).
• Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser un câble HDMI sans noyau si possible. Si vous utilisez un câble
HDMI avec noyau, utilisez-en un dont le diamètre est inférieur à 0,55 po.
• La fonction Anynet+ doit être activée.
• Cette fonction n’est pas disponible si le câble HDMI ne prend pas en charge l’ARC.
Méthode2.Connexionsansl
Connexion d’un téléviseur par Bluetooth
Lorsqu’un téléviseur est connecté par Bluetooth, vous pouvez proter du son stéréo sans vous
encombrer avec des câbles.
• Un seul téléviseur peut être connecté à la fois.
Connexion initiale
1. Appuyez sur le bouton (Source) situé sur la face latérale droite ou sur la télécommande, puis
sélectionnez le mode «BT».
2. Choisissez «BT PAIRING» à la place de «BT».
• Lorsque «BT READY» apparaît, appuyez sur la touche PAIR sur la télécommande ou appuyez
sur la touche (Source) sur le panneau droit du Soundbar et maintenez-la enfoncée pendant
plus de 5 secondes jusqu’à ce que «BT PAIRING» apparaisse.
3. Sélectionnez le mode Bluetooth sur le téléviseur. (Pour plus d’informations, reportez-vous au
manuel du téléviseur.)
4. Sélectionnez «[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx N-Series» dans la liste afchée sur l’écran du
téléviseur. Lorsqu’un Soundbar est disponible, il a le statut «Need Pairing» ou «Paired» dans la
liste des périphériques Bluetooth du téléviseur. Pour se connecter au Soundbar, sélectionnez le
message et établissez une connexion.
• Lorsque le téléviseur est connecté, [Nom du téléviseur] → «BT» s’afche sur l’écran situé à
l’avant du Soundbar.
5. Le son du téléviseur est désormais diffusé sur le Soundbar.
REMARQUE
• Une fois que vous avez connecté le Soundbar à votre téléviseur la première fois, utilisez le mode
«BT READY» pour la reconnexion. Voir la page 9 pour plus de détails.

En cas d’échec de la connexion du périphérique
• Si l’entrée correspondant au Soundbar précédemment connecté (par ex., «[AV] Samsung Soundbar
Nxxx N-Series») gure dans la liste, supprimez-la.
• Appuyez sur la touche PAIR sur la télécommande ou, en mode «BT», appuyez sur la touche
(Source) sur le panneau droit du Soundbar et maintenez-la enfoncée pendant plus de 5
secondes pour passer en mode «BT PAIRING». Sélectionnez ensuite «[AV] Samsung Soundbar
Nxxx N-Series» dans la liste de recherche du téléviseur.
Quelle est la différence entre BT READY et BT PAIRING ?
• BT READY : Dans ce mode, vous pouvez rechercher les téléviseurs connectés précédemment ou
brancher un appareil mobile précédemment connecté dans le Soundbar.
• BT PAIRING : Dans ce mode, vous pouvez connecter un nouvel appareil au Soundbar. (Appuyez sur
la touche PAIR sur la télécommande, ou appuyez sur la touche (Source) sur le panneau droit
du Soundbar et maintenez-la enfoncée pendant plus de 5 secondes en mode «BT».)
REMARQUES
• Si vous êtes invité à saisir un code PIN lors de la connexion à un périphérique Bluetooth, entrez
<0000>.
• En mode de connexion Bluetooth, la connexion Bluetooth est perdue si la distance entre le
Soundbar et le périphérique Bluetooth est supérieure à 32,8 pi.
• Le Soundbar se désactive automatiquement après avoir passé 5 minutes à l’état Prêt.
• Il se peut que le Soundbar n’effectue pas correctement la recherche ou la connexion Bluetooth
dans les cas suivants :
– En présence d’un champ électrique puissant dans l’environnement du Soundbar.
– En cas d’appariement simultané de plusieurs périphériques Bluetooth avec le Soundbar.
– En cas de désactivation, de mauvais positionnement ou de dysfonctionnement du périphérique
Bluetooth.
• Les appareils électroniques peuvent créer des interférences radio. Les appareils produisant des
ondes électromagnétiques doivent être gardés à distance de l’unité principale du Soundbar, par
exemple les micro-ondes, les appareils de réseau sans l, etc.
Déconnexion du Soundbar du téléviseur
Appuyez sur le bouton (Source) situé sur la face latérale droite ou sur la télécommande, puis
sélectionnez un autre mode que «BT».
• La déconnexion prend du temps car le téléviseur doit recevoir une réponse du Soundbar.
(Le temps requis peut différer en fonction du modèle du téléviseur.)
• Pour annuler la connexion Bluetooth automatique entre le Soundbar et le téléviseur, appuyez sur le
bouton

1. Branchez un câble adaptateur Micro USB-USB doté d’un connecteur Micro USB-USB 2.0 (type B)
sur une extrémité et d’un connecteur USB 2.0 femelle standard (type A) sur l’autre au connecteur
Micro USB de votre Soundbar.
• Le câble adaptateur Micro USB-USB est vendu séparément. Pour l’acheter, contactez un Centre
de service Samsung ou le service à la clientèle de Samsung.
2. Connectez votre périphérique USB à l’extrémité femelle du câble adaptateur.
3. Appuyez sur le bouton (Source) situé sur la face latérale droite ou sur la télécommande, puis

07 BRANCHEMENT D’UN APPAREIL MOBILE
Connexion par Bluetooth
Lorsqu’un appareil mobile est connecté par Bluetooth, vous pouvez proter du son stéréo sans vous
encombrer avec des câbles.
• Vous ne pouvez pas connecter plusieurs périphériques Bluetooth simultanément.

1. Appuyez sur le bouton (Source) situé sur la face latérale droite ou sur la télécommande, puis
sélectionnez le mode «BT».
2. Choisissez «BT PAIRING» à la place de «BT».
• Lorsque «BT READY» apparaît, appuyez sur la touche PAIR sur la télécommande ou appuyez
sur la touche (Source) sur le panneau droit du Soundbar et maintenez-la enfoncée pendant
plus de 5 secondes jusqu’à ce que «BT PAIRING» apparaisse.
3. Sélectionnez «[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx N-Series» dans la liste.
• Lorsqu’un Soundbar est connecté au périphérique Bluetooth, [Nom du périphérique Bluetooth]
→ «BT» apparaît sur l’écran situé à l’avant.
4. Lisez des morceaux depuis le périphérique, connecté par Bluetooth, via le Soundbar.
REMARQUE
• Une fois que vous avez connecté le Soundbar à votre appareil mobile la première fois, utilisez le
mode «BT READY» pour la reconnexion. Voir la page 15 pour plus de détails.
En cas d’échec de la connexion du périphérique
• Si l’entrée correspondant au Soundbar précédemment connecté (par ex., «[AV] Samsung Soundbar
Nxxx N-Series») gure dans la liste, supprimez-la.
• Appuyez sur la touche PAIR sur la télécommande ou, en mode «BT», appuyez sur la touche

Quelle est la différence entre BT READY et BT PAIRING ?
• BT READY : Dans ce mode, vous pouvez rechercher les téléviseurs connectés précédemment ou

• BT PAIRING : Dans ce mode, vous pouvez connecter un nouvel appareil au Soundbar. (Appuyez sur

REMARQUES
• Si vous êtes invité à saisir un code PIN lors de la connexion à un périphérique Bluetooth, entrez
<0000>.
• En mode de connexion Bluetooth, la connexion Bluetooth est perdue si la distance entre le
Soundbar et le périphérique Bluetooth est supérieure à 32,8 pi.
• Le Soundbar se désactive automatiquement après avoir passé 5 minutes à l’état Prêt.
• Il se peut que le Soundbar n’effectue pas correctement la recherche ou la connexion Bluetooth

• Les appareils électroniques peuvent créer des interférences radio. Les appareils produisant des
ondes électromagnétiques doivent être gardés à distance de l’unité principale du Soundbar, par
exemple les micro-ondes, les appareils de réseau sans l, etc.
• Le Soundbar prend en charge les données SBC (44,1kHz, 48kHz).
• La connexion est possible uniquement sur un périphérique Bluetooth compatible avec la fonction
A2DP (AV).
• Vous ne pouvez pas brancher le Soundbar à un dispositif Bluetooth qui prend seulement en charge
la fonction HF (Hands Free).
• Une fois l’appariement du Soundbar avec un périphérique Bluetooth réalisé, la sélection de
«[AV] Samsung Soundbar Nxxx N-Series» dans la liste des périphériques numérisés de l’appareil
fera automatiquement passer le Soundbar en mode BT.
– Accessible seulement si le Soundbar est énuméré dans la liste des dispositifs Bluetooth
appariés. (Le dispositif Bluetooth et le Soundbar doivent avoir été appariés précédemment au

• Lorsque le système Soundbar est déconnecté du périphérique Bluetooth, Soundbar afche le
message BT DISCONNECTED sur le panneau avant.

Bluetooth est une technologie facilitant l’interconnexion d’appareils compatibles Bluetooth via une
connexion sans l à faible distance.
• Un appareil Bluetooth peut engendrer des bruits ou un dysfonctionnement selon les conditions
d’utilisation:
– Si une partie du corps est en contact avec le système de réception/transmission du
périphérique Bluetooth ou du système Soundbar.
– Variations électriques dues à un brouillage du signal par un mur, un coin ou une cloison de
bureau.
– Interférences électriques causées par des appareils fonctionnant sur la même bande de
fréquence, notamment équipements médicaux, fours à micro-ondes et réseaux locaux sans l.
• Maintenez la distance la plus courte possible lorsque vous jumelez le système Soundbar avec le
périphérique Bluetooth.
• La qualité diminue parallèlement à la distance entre le système Soundbar et le périphérique
Bluetooth. Si la distance excède la portée opérationnelle du périphérique Bluetooth, la connexion
est perdue.
• La connexion Bluetooth peut s’avérer déciente dans les zones à faible réception.
• La connexion Bluetooth ne fonctionne que lorsque l’appareil concerné est à proximité de l’unité. La
connexion sera automatiquement interrompue si la distance excède la portée. Même dans les limites
de cette portée, des obstacles tels que des murs ou des portes peuvent dégrader la qualité sonore.
• Le fonctionnement de ce périphérique sans l peut engendrer un brouillage électrique.

• Fonction de limitation du volume
L’écoute à volume élevé pouvant endommager l’ouïe, le volume est réglé sur
20 lorsque le volume est réglé sur une valeur supérieure à 20.
– Par défaut, la limitation du volume est désactivée. La valeur dénie pour le
volume est maintenue même lorsque l’alimentation est coupée.
– Pour modier le paramètre, appuyez sur la touche Bas de la télécommande

• Si des hauts-parleurs surround (non fournis) sont connectés, sélectionnez REAR LEVEL

• Effectuez l’installation sur un mur vertical
uniquement.
• N’installez pas le produit dans un endroit où
la température ou l’humidité sont élevées.
• Vériez si le mur est sufsamment solide
pour supporter le poids du produit. Sinon,
renforcez le mur ou choisissez un autre
endroit pour l’installation.
• Achetez et utilisez les chevilles ou les vis de
xation adaptées au type de mur (plâtre,
métal, bois, etc.). Si possible, xez les vis de

5. Poussez une vis (non fournie) dans chaque
Vis de support, puis vissez fermement
chaque vis dans un trou de vis de support.
6. Installez les 2 Supportdexationmurale
selon l’orientation correcte en bas de la
Soundbar, à l’aide de 2 Vis.
• Lors du montage, assurez-vous que
l’étrier des Supportdexationmurale
est situé à l’arrière du Soundbar.

7. Installez le Soundbar à l’aide des Support de
xationmurale en accrochant ces derniers
sur les Vis de support xées au mur.
8. Faites glisser la Soundbar vers le bas, comme
illustré ci-dessous, an que les Équerres de
support mural reposent fermement sur les
Vis de support.
• Insérez les Vis de support dans la partie
large (inférieure) des Supportdexation
murale, puis faites glisser les Support de
xationmurale vers le bas an que les

10 MISE À JOUR
LOGICIELLE
Il se peut que Samsung propose ultérieurement
des mises à jour pour le micrologiciel du système
du Soundbar.

Lorsqu’une mise à jour vous est proposée, vous
pouvez mettre à jour le micrologiciel en
branchant un périphérique USB contenant la mise
à jour sur le port USB de votre Soundbar.
Pour plus d’informations sur le téléchargement
de chiers de mise à jour, consultez le site Web de
Samsung Electronics à l’adresse (www.samsung.
com
Support).
Ensuite, entrez ou sélectionnez le modèle de
votre Soundbar, sélectionnez Logiciel &
Applications, puis choisissez Téléchargements.
Les noms d’option peuvent varier.

Procédure de mise à jour
1. Branchez un câble adaptateur Micro USB-
USB doté d’un connecteur Micro USB-USB
2.0 (type B) sur une extrémité et d’un
connecteur USB 2.0 femelle standard (type
A) sur l’autre au connecteur Micro USB de
votre Soundbar.
• Le câble adaptateur Micro USB-USB est
vendu séparément. Pour l’acheter,
contactez un Centre de service Samsung
ou le service à la clientèle de Samsung.
2. Suivez les étapes ci-dessous pour
télécharger le logiciel du produit :
Accédez au site Web de Samsung sur
(samsung.com) recherchez le nom du
modèle, puis sélectionnez l’option
d’assistance à la clientèle (le nom de l’option
peut changer).
3. Enregistrez le logiciel téléchargé sur une clé
USB et sélectionnez «Extraire ici» pour
décompresser le dossier.
4. Éteignez le Soundbar et branchez la clé USB
contenant la mise à jour du logiciel au port
femelle sur un câble adaptateur Micro USB.
Branchez le câble au port USB du Soundbar.
5. Allumez le Soundbar. Dans les 3 minutes qui
suivent, «UPDATE» s’afche et la mise à jour
commence.
6. Lorsque la mise à jour est terminée, le
Soundbar s’éteint. Appuyez sur le bouton p
de la télécommande pendant 5 secondes.
«INIT» apparaît à l’écran, puis le Soundbar
s’éteint. La mise à jour est terminée.
• Ce produit a une fonction DUAL BOOT. Si
le micrologiciel ne parvient pas à
effectuer la mise à jour, vous pouvez à
nouveau mettre à jour le micrologiciel.
SiUPDATEnes’afchepas
1. Éteignez le Soundbar, débranchez le
périphérique de stockage qui contient les
chiers de mise à jour du port USB du
Soundbar, puis rebranchez-le.
2. Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation du
Soundbar, rebranchez-le, puis allumez le
Soundbar.
• La mise à jour du micrologiciel peut ne
pas fonctionner correctement si les
chiers audio pris en charge par le
Soundbar sont stockés dans le
périphérique de stockage.
• Ne coupez pas l’alimentation et ne retirez
pas le périphérique USB pendant que les
mises à jour sont en train d’être
appliquées. L’unité principale s’éteindra
automatiquement après avoir terminé la
mise à jour du micrologiciel.
• Une fois la mise à jour terminée, la
conguration de l’utilisateur dans le
Soundbar est initialisée. Nous vous
conseillons de noter vos paramètres par
écrit pour pouvoir facilement les redénir
après la mise à jour.
Si la mise à jour du logiciel échoue, la clé
USB est peut-être défectueuse.
• Les utilisateurs de Mac OS doivent utiliser
MS-DOS (FAT) comme format USB.
• La mise à jour par USB peut ne pas être
disponible. Cela dépend du fabricant du
périphérique de stockage.

Avant de contacter l’assistance, effectuez les vérications suivantes.
L’unité ne s’allume pas.
Le cordon d’alimentation est-il branché sur la prise?
; Branchez le cordon d’alimentation sur la prise.
Lorsque j’appuie sur un bouton, la fonction ne s’active pas.
Y’a-t-il de l’électricité statique dans l’air?
; Débranchez le cordon d’alimentation et rebranchez-le.
Le son est interrompu en mode BT.
; Reportez-vous aux sections relatives à la connexion Bluetooth aux pages 8 et 14.
Il n’y a pas de son.
La fonction Mise en sourdine est-elle activée?
; Appuyez sur le bouton VOL pour désactiver la fonction.
Le volume est-il réglé au minimum?
; Réglez le volume.
La télécommande ne fonctionne pas.
Les piles sont-elles déchargées?
; Remplacez-les par de nouvelles piles.
La distance entre la télécommande et l’unité principale du Soundbar est-elle trop grande?
; Approchez la télécommande de l’unité principale du Soundbar.
