The time it takes to complete frothing for the maximum temperature of the Breville® BMF600 Milk Café™ would also depend on the temperature of the milk and the quantity being frothed but generally it's not more approximately a minute, maximum.

You will get good froth from 4 oz. The amount of milk doesn't make as much a difference as the type of dairy that you use and which disk you use. If you use 4 oz with the cappuccino disk with half and half or cream you will get excellent foam. If you do the same with 1% milk, you will probably get little to no foam. It is more about the dairy type and disk than amount of liquid.
