TOE ALIGNMENT
NOTICE
Do not attempt to adjust alignment. All steering adjustments should be
performed by an authorized service technician. Your authorized dealer can
assist.
Use the following procedure to check the toe alignment of the vehicle. The
recommended toe alignment is 3-6 mm toe out.
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Place the handlebars in a straight-ahead position.
3. Tie a length of string
e
between two stands as
shown in the illustration. Position the stand
r
so
that the string is flush with the side of the rear tire.
TIP
If available, you may use a long straight-edge instead
of string.
4. Measure the distance from the string to the rim at
the front
q
and rear
w
of the front rim. The rear
measurement should be 2-3 mm more than the
front measurement on each side of the vehicle to
obtain the recommended 3-6 mm toe out
alignment.
5. Repeat the measurement procedure on the other
side of the vehicle.
6. If you discover improper alignment, service is
required. Your authorized dealer can assist.
