4. Clean the area around the drain plug

5. Place a drain pan under the crank case.
6. Remove the drain plug. Allow the oil to drain completely.
WARNING
Hot oil can cause burns to skin. Do not allow hot oil to contact skin.
7. Install a new sealing washer on the drain plug. The sealing surfaces on drain
plug and crankcase should be clean and free of burrs, nicks or scratches.
8. Reinstall the drain plug. Torque to 19-24 Nm (14-18 ft-lbs)
9. Place shop towels beneath the oil filter. Using an oil filter wrench (available
from your dealer), turn the filter counter-clockwise to remove it.
10. Using a clean, dry cloth, clean the filter sealing surface on the crankcase.
11. Lubricate the o-ring on the new filter with a film of fresh engine oil. Check to
make sure the o-ring is in good condition.
12. Install a new filter and rotate it clockwise by hand until the filter gasket
contacts the sealing surface, then turn it an additional 3/4 turn.
13. Remove the dipstick.
14. Add 1.9 l (2 qt.) of recommended oil.
15. Place the transmission in PARK.
16. Lock the parking brake.
17. Start the engine. Allow it to idle for one to two minutes.
18. Stop the engine.
