AI.B semi-auto shooting can be performed with all the EOS cameras.
Before performing AI.B semi-auto shooting, review the “Safety
Precautions” (p.8), “General Cautions for AI.B Full-Auto Shooting and
AI.B Semi-Auto Shooting” (p.60), and the like.

Set the <X> switch to the <Y>
position
(p.42).
With the Speedlite attached to the
camera, check that both the camera
and the Speedlite are turned on.
Set the <X> bounce mode switch
to the <Y> position.
X When the flash head is not in the
forward-facing position, the flash
head moves and is automatically set
to the forward-facing position.

Set the bounce angle as desired.
Determine the orientation (position) of
the camera when taking a picture,
and then perform steps 2 and 3.
Taking into consideration factors such
as the distance to the subject and the
distance to the ceiling, manually
move the flash head and set the
bounce angle.
X The Speedlite icon on the LCD panel
changes to <m>.
