Youmayneedtocranktheengineseveraltimes
beforethefuelsystemstartstopumpfuelfromthe
tanktotheengine.

shut-offswitchandresetasrequired.SeeFuel

Neverpourfuelinthethrottlebodyor
attempttostarttheenginewiththeair
cleanerremoved.Doingsocouldresult

Fueleconomyisanestimateoftheefficiencyof
yourvehicleandcanbecalculatedasMilesPer
Gallon(MPG)orLitersPer100Kilometers
(L/100K).
Donotcalculatefueleconomyduringyourvehicle’s
break-inperiod.Thiswouldnotbeanaccurate
estimateofhowmuchfuelyourvehiclewill
normallyuse.
Tocalculatefueleconomy:
1. Fillthetankcompletelyandrecordtheinitial
odometerreading.
2. Everytimeyoubuyfuelrecordtheamount(in
gallonsorliters)purchased.
3. Afteratleastthreetofivetankfuls,fillthefuel
tankandrecordthefinalodometerreading.
4. Usetheseequationstocalculateyourfuel
economy.
