DEFROSTING TIPS HOLD WARM
When using Auto Defrost,the weight to be entered
is the netweight in pounds and tenths of pounds
(theweight of the food minus the container).
Before starting, make sure you have removed any
of the metal twist-tieswhich often come with frozen
food bags, and replacethemwith stringsor elastic
bands.
Open containers such as cartons beforethey are
placed in the oven,
Always slit or pierce plasticpouchesor packaging,
If food is foil wrapped, remove foil and placeit ina
suitable container.
Slit the skins, if any, of frozen food such as
sausage,
Bend plastic pouches of food toensure even
defrosting.
Always underestimate defrostingtime. If defrosted
food isstill icy in the center, returnitto the
microwave oven for more defrosting,
The length of defrosting timevaries according to
howsolidly the food is frozen.
The shape of the package affectshow quickly food
will defrost. Shallow packageswill defrost more
quickly than a deep block.
As food begins to defrost, separate the pieces.
Separated pieces defrostmore easily,
Use small pieces of aluminum foil toshield parts
of food such as chicken wings, leg tips,fishtails, or
areas that start to getwarm, Makesure thefoil does
nottouch the sides, top, or bottomof the oven, The
foil can damage the oven lining,
For better results, letfood standafter defrosting,

Turn over food during defrosting or standing time.
Breakapart and remove food as required,
You can safely keep hot, cooked food warm in your
microwave oven for up to 99 minutes, 99 seconds
(about 1 hour, 40 minutes). You can use Hold Warm
by itself, or to automatically follow a cooking cycle.

At theend of the holdwarm, "END"will be
displayed and four tones will sound.
To make Hold Warm
automatically follow another cycle:
While you are touching in cooking instructions,
touch HoldWarm before touching START.
When the last cooking cycle is over, youwill hear
two tones."Hold" will come on while theoven
continuesto run.
You can set HoldWarm tofollowAuto Defrost,
Cook,or two-stage cooking.
NOTES:
Hold Warm operates for up to 99 minutes, 99
seconds.
Opening theoven door cancels HoldWarm. Close
thedoor and touch HoldWarm, then touch
START ifadditional HoldWarm time is desired.
Food cooked covered should be covered during
HoldWarm.
Pastry items (pies,turnovers, etc.) should be
uncovered during HoldWarm.
Complete meals kept warm on a dinner plate should
be covered during HoldWarm.
Do not use morethan one complete HoldWarm
cycle (about 1 hour,40 minutes).The quality of
some foods will sufferwith extended time.
