Why put in the dishwasher? I have never seen a non stick surface that delivers like this. The most burned on foods rinse off with the sink sprayer or a quick wipe with a sponge or wash cloth. Put a drop of dish soap to break up any fat film and you are back to the surface to had when you opened the box.

We do not have a dishwasher. The angle of the basket side slots is a little awkward to clean, but a dish brush with a squirt of dawn handles it well. We just use damp paper towels to wipe off the upper coil once cool.

To be honest, it's barely noticeable, and is rarely running long enough at a time to be bothered by the noise. I've had noisier dishwashers. Kinda like a loud microwave. Or a noisy air conditioner. Gently purring car engine. Not too loud. Not silent. Once you're used to it, you may forget it's on. So good thing it has auto-shut off. When the timer runs out on whatever you're cooking, it turns off. So you won't have to worry about burning your kitchen down because you got distracted.
