Basic Operation & Riding
Before riding your motorcycle for the first
time, please review the Important Safety
Information beginning on page 2 and the
previous section, titled Before Riding.
Even if you have ridden other motorcycles,
take time to become familiar with how this
motorcycle works and handles. Practice in a
safe area until you build up your skills and get
accustomed to your motorcycle’s size and
weight.
For your safety, avoid starting or operating the
engine in an enclosed area such as a garage.
Your motorcycles exhaust contains poisonous
carbon monoxide gas which can collect rapidly
in an enclosed area and cause illness or death.
Your motorcycle is not equipped with lights.
Do not ride at night.
Safe Riding Precautions
Running the engine of your motorcycle
while in an enclosed or even partially
enclosed area can cause a rapid
build-up of toxic carbon monoxide gas.
Breathing this colourless, odorless gas
can quickly cause unconsciousness
and lead to death.
Only run your motorcycle's engine
when it is located in a well-ventilated
area outdoors.
