Section 4 - Conguration

VLAN

Click the slider to enable the VLAN feature.

Select Manual to enter VLAN settings manually or select the service

provider you are using from the drop down menu for automatic

conguration.

Enter the VLAN ID for your Internet connection as provided by your

ISP.

Enter the VLAN ID for your digital cable as provided by your ISP.

Enter the VLAN ID for your Voice over IP network as provided by

your ISP.

In the table below, you can select the type of data (Internet, digital

cable, or Voice over IP) coming from the WAN connection to each

interface on the DIR-842.

Click Save when you are done.

Interface:

VLAN allows for services such as Triple-Play, and divides a network into segments that can only be accessed by other devices in the same VLAN.
