Transporting Your
Motorcycle
If your motorcycle needs to be transported, it
should be carried on a motorcycle trailer or a
flatbed truck or trailer that has a loading ramp
or lifting platform, and motorcycle tie-down
straps. Never try to tow your motorcycle with a
wheel or wheels on the ground.
● Attach the lower ends of two straps to the
tie-down hooks on truck bed or trailer rail.
Attach the upper ends of the straps to the
seat rails.
u Must be attached to the position indicated
on the illustration.
● Check that the tie-down straps do not
contact any control cables or electrical wiring.
● We recommend that you do not transport
your motorcycle on its side. This can damage
the motorcycle, and leaking gasoline could
be a hazard.
NOTICE
Towing your motorcycle can cause serious damage to the
transmission.
