2. Lift by the outside handle in order to open
the boot lid.
IMPORTANT
•
Minimal force is required to release the
boot lid's lock - just gently press the
rubberised panel.
•
Do not place the lift force on the rubber
panel when opening the boot lid - lift the
handle. Using too much force may dam-
age the electrical contacts on the rubber
panel.
It is also possible to open the boot lid hands-
free with a kicking motion under the rear
bumper, see separate section.
WARNING
Do not drive with an open boot lid! Toxic
exhaust fumes could be drawn into the car
through the cargo area.

WARNING
People with pacemaker operations should
not come closer than 22 cm (9 inches) to
the keyless system's antennas with their
pacemaker. This is to prevent interference
between the pacemaker and the keyless
system.
