To set the signal input level

Click the [Levels] tab in the [USB Audio
CODEC] property screen.

Do not exceed the recommended setting range when
setting the input level (such as setting the le side all the
way to 0 or increasing the numerical value of the level
display). Doing so may cause the sound not to be output
or to be distorted.

Display the Charms bar on the desktop and
click the [Settings] charm.

Click [Control Panel], and then click
[Hardware and Sound].

Click [Manage audio devices] in [Sound].

Click the [Recording] tab, and check if [USB
AUDIO CODEC] is set to [Default Device].

Select [USB AUDIO CODEC], and then click
[Properties].

Click the [Advanced] tab.

Select [2 channel, ...] (for example, [2
channel, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)] or
[2 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)])
from the [Default Format] drop-down list.

check box next to [Listen to this device].

Notes
To record audio aer you connected the turntable to
your computer, follow steps 1 through 4 to specify [USB
AUDIO CODEC] as the default recording device.
To send stereo signals from the turntable to your
computer, steps 5 through 7 are mandatory.
To output sounds from the built-in speakers of your
computer during recording, make the appropriate
sound output setting as described in step 8 above.
