Cuisinart CGG-180T Questions and Answers

#1 Do i need to buy a propane bottle?

Yes Angi to use this grill you must buy propane bottles but all hardware stores, Walmart, Home Depot, etc carry them. Suggest you buy at least two ago you will always have a spare. Not very expensive. I had a large propane tank from when I had big grill but not necessary. Small propane bottles will give you many great grillings with this little grill. Hope this helps.

#2 How do you clean it? Does it have non-stick surfaces?

No, It does not have non-stick surfaces. But truthfully I don't think I would want anything that gets as hot as a grill does to have non-stick surfaces. There is too much potential for the non-stick product to flake off into cooked food. I just spray a little grill cooking oil onto the cooking grate and nothing sticks. To clean it (which I haven't done yet) I should think all you have to do is take off the cooking grate and spray some oven cleaner on it. Let that set for a while then wipe it clean. I only cook for one, so I don't cook very much food at one time. So far this is the perfect grill for me.

#3 What is the height of the grill collapsed im buying thid to take in my jeep on trial rides and space is limited?

Don't buy it. It's a terrible grill. The flame element is too close to the cooking surface and there is no drip guard. The food burns no matter how low you set the flame.

#4 How do you put the gas in it?

There's a spot in the back of the grill that a small canister screws into and just sits attached. It goes weigh the grill backwards if you have the stand for this grill.

#5 What accessories are needed to complete this Grill? What type of propane, a regulator?

All you really need is the small camping propane tank that screws directly to the grill. It’s works great. If you want to run to a large take you would need the adapter hose and regulator. They offer on their website. It’s a great little grill. Heavy and well built. Love mine!

#6 Does this grill require assembly ?

No Just take it out of the box and put the grill in place, etc. You need to buy propane cylinders (I got three for $15 at Lowes) that screw underneath. Also, if you want to use a full size regular propane tank, buy the hose for that through Amazon - it will be half the cost otherwise. Persons wrote that one cylinder last all summer. And it can be destroyed if allowed to get too hot from something such as leaving the burners on when it's not cooking anything. Use common sense. Keep in mind the Plastic parts can melt if you are careless. Otherwise the most convenient unit of its type I have seen

#7 Has anyone used the Coleman 3-4 burner coffee pot in this? Does it work?

I don't know what a 3-4 burner coffee pot is, but it's hot enough to perk my coffee pot. I also use a Colman stove, but if you only take one on your trip, I would take the BBQ. I use both on my pontoon, the BBQ works all the angle I need. Hope this helps. The grill is damnnar the best thing I have bought for my pontoon

#8 Can the lid be temporarily removed, and after usage put back on for carrying?

Ya would work great on the balcony and it's a great size for small areas. It doesn't come with the tall stand legs, only 6" legs. Fits great on my grill-zebo side tables. Fit great on any table top.
