SYMPTOM:

engine stop switch OFF
transmission not in neutral
side stand down (when
transmission not in neutral)
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Turn the engine stop switch to RUN.
Shift into neutral.
Put the transmission in neutral or raise the side
stand and pullthe clutch lever in.
blown fuse
battery lead loose
low (or dead) battery
faulty starter motor
Replace with a new fuse of the same rating
(page ).
Tighten the battery lead.
Charge the battery (page ). If charging doesn’t
help, see yourHonda dealer.
If all possible causes are negative, the starter
motor may be faulty. See your Honda dealer.
