Raising the Fuel Tank

The fuel tank does not require draining for
this procedure.
Remove the seat (page ).
The fuel tank must be raised to service the
air cleaner.
Remove left and right side fairing
pockets (pages , ).
Raise the fuel tank ( ) then turn the
handlebar all the way to left and lock
the steering (page ).
Tie the fuel tank to the left side
handlebar with the helmet set wire ( )
stored in the plastic storage bag of the
owner’s manual.
