#1 Unpacked everthing worked. After charging battery, nothing works, no light. Suggests before sending back...?

Just to be sure did you push the round soft button on the top ? That's the only way it lights up

#2 How long do you initially charge this for?

I only charged it once when I first got it. It did not take but a couple of hours to charge at that time and it has not yet required a recharge after several uses.
