Starting Procedure
Starting & Stopping the Engine
Basic Operation & Riding
This motorcycle has a fuel-injected engine
with an automatic fast idle. Follow the
procedure indicated below.
Any Air Temperature
Press the start button with the throttle
completely closed.
The engine will not start if the throttle is
fully open (because the electronic control
module cuts off the fuel supply).
Even if the engine coolant stays below the
specified temperature, the cooling fan
sometimes starts up running when you rev
up the engine, but this is normal.
The operation temperature of each cooling
fan is different.Therefore, it is normal
when only one of the fans operate.
Snapping the throttle or fast idling for
more than about 5 minutes at normal air
temperature may cause exhaust pipe
discoloration.
