Installation and connection
96
Cold water (default setting)
The washing machine will be operated
with cold mains water only.
The other inlet hose is secured to the
back of the washing machine.
Hot water
The preferred temperature is 55°C.
The temperature must not not exceed
60°C. Consult a qualified plumber if
the temperature exceeds 60°C.
You can heat up your water with
cheaper, primary energy sources, e.g.
gas, solar power, oil.
Before connecting to the mains water
tap, check that the outflow of cold
water does not exceed 5litres. Each
additional litre of cold water reduces
the energy efficiency.
If the hot water tap is turned off for
some time, the washing machine will
automatically switch to the cold
water connection. This safety
measure is not intended for the
permanent operation of the
appliance. The washing machine
continues to wash using hot water
operation, but washing results are
worsened.
Soft water, rain water and well water
1. For hygiene reasons water should be
at least of the quality used for
bathing in.
2. The chemical composition of the
water must not endanger parts of the
machine.
3. The water must not contain any solid
particles e.g. sand. We recommend
an upstream filter with a filtration
throughflow of 0.1mm.
Other specifications for water quality
Iron ≤ 0.10mg/l
Manganese ≤ 0.05mg/l
Copper ≤ 0.10mg/l
Zinc ≤ 1.50mg/l
Chlorides ≤ 200.00mg/l
pH value Between 5-9.5
Water hardness ≥ 5°d
Water temperature ≤ 60°C
The operator is responsible for
ensuring a suitable water quality.
