Yes, it does: one roll of 1/2" x 10' , black ink on white, laminated (glossy). It also comes in 2 other sizes - 1/4" and 3/8" (not in the same box, sold separately).

It prints up to two lines on a 1/2" and 3/8" tape. Although there are six text sizes available, the text sizes depend on the label width you have selected. The 1/2" tape can handle 8, 10 and 12 point text size; the 3/8" only handles 8 and 10 point text size. I hope I didn't confuse you. You can print the "User Guide" from the DYMO website

This printer has a wonderful imaging model that scales to arbitrary sizes. I tested this and quit after printing 15 lines of text on a 6-mm tape! The lines were too tiny to read, of course, but the point is that the number of lines is limited by legibility, not by the software - which is the way it should be.
