Tips:

  • When you receive this product, please use the charger provided by our company to recharge the battery for 3 hours (no need to charge it fully) and the charging frequency should be every weeks.
  • When the battery is not in use for a long time or it is over-discharged, you may find the working time is reduced at the first few times. We recommend you fully charge the battery usually 5 hours) and discharge it. Repeat this action.
  • If the vacuum cleaner is used for a long time, the filter should be cleaned or replaced. If it is cleaned, it must be dried and used to avoid short-circuiting the machine.
  • Please clean your filter, dust cup, roller brush and put it back after drying frequently. This way can keep the suction of your cordless vacuum cleaner for a long time.
  • After using the vacuum cleaner, do not charge it immediately. Charging after the battery is cooled naturally, this will effectively maintain the working time and service life of the vacuum cleaner.

Hard Surface Cleaning

Our next metric, accounting for 30% of the overall score, assessed how well each product did at cleaning up a handful of different types of debris off of hard floors. The Deik didn't disappoint, earning a 6 out of 10 for its solid showing. The following graphic shows how this stacks up against the rest of the vacuums in the bunch.

The Deik started off with a very strong showing in our flour collection challenge, getting the vast majority of the flour with two passes. The spinning brush helped immensely and the only leftover flour was deep in the gap between boards.

There is no brush on/off feature with the Deik, helping it be more effective at picking up the flour. Be mindful if you have sensitive floors.

The Deik also did decently well at collecting rice, only taking about 1.5 passes to collect all of the grains of rice and collecting over 90% in the first pass alone. Unfortunately, the Deik did not carry over this stellar performance into our Cheerio collection challenge, delivering an abysmal performance. This vacuum only pushed the Cheerios around, rather than collecting them. When we lifted up the vacuum to try and suck up the Cheerios, the spinning brush flung them everywhere, causing more mess than we started with.

The Diek's low ground clearance cause it to plow the Cheerios rather than suck them up.

This model did a good job at collecting pet hair, matching the performance of the top products. However, the Deik finished out this metric with a subpar performance at collecting oatmeal, tending to spread it out as much as it collected it, performing identically to the Dyson V6.

Ease of Use

Accounting for 20% of the total score, our Ease of Use metric judged each stick vacuum on how easy it is to use while cleaning, looking at things like its maneuverability and its ability to clean up close to walls and under furniture. The Deik did reasonably well, earning a 6 out of 10 for its performance.

The Deik doesn't have any cleaning modes, taking a one size fits all approach to cleaning. It also does about average at cleaning close to the wall of a room and into a corner, only leaving a small amount of debris behind.

The Deik does better at cleaning head on into a wall.

This vacuum did impress us with its prowess at cleaning under furniture, reaching underneath the entirety of our simulated sofa, or about 37".

The Deik has an excellent reach.

This stick vacuum is also a little on the louder side, with the motor being much closer to your ear than some of the other products. We measured the dBa level of each vacuum.

The Deik does have a swivel joint at the end, making maneuvering a breeze. There isn't any storage for the single included accessory on the vacuum, but there is a spot on its wall mount.

Carpet Cleaning

Taking credit for the remaining part of the overall score, our Carpet Cleaning metric fittingly evaluated each product on how well it could keep soft floors clean. Similar to our other cleaning metric, we again used rice, flour, oats, pet hair, and Cheerios as our sample messes, testing on both flat and moderately fluffy carpets. The Deik finished out our test with an awesome performance, earning a 7 out of 10, with the following graphic showing how this compares with the rest of the group.

The Deik again did very well at cleaning up flour, doing one of the best jobs of the entire group. It also did reasonably well at cleaning up rice, though it did perform much better on the flatter carpet than on the fluffier carpet. It would pile up the rice a bit, but usually collects it in the end. It continued its solid performance into our Cheerio collection challenge. It required minimal effort to get all of the cereal from the flat carpet and only a little more effort to successfully clean the fluffier carpet.

The Deik had similar Cheerio pick up performance to the VonHaus. It would pile them up then use the extra friction it created to suck them in.

This vacuum also did a decent job at collecting pet hair, collecting the bulk of it in our tests and only leaving a small amount behind. However, it can become clogged when tasked with collecting larger amounts of hair — something to consider for those that have long hair pets.
