Philips HR7774/30 Questions and Answers

#1 Do the settings (0-7) on the adjustable slicing disc correspond to the thickness in mm?

No, the slicing result greatly depends on the softness of the ingredients you are slicing. The result is also influenced by the pressing force, i.e. the force you use to push the ingredients down the feeding tube. To find the setting that gives the desired thickness, simply try and slice the ingredient at a particular setting and readjust the slicing disc if you are not satisfied.

#2 I have a plastic part included that looks like the metal knife - what is it intended for?

This is the kneading knife - it is intended for all kinds of yeast and bread dough.

#3 How do I change the thickness of the adjustable slicing disk?

On the underside of the disk there is a dial which you can twist to increase or decrease the cutting height of the slicing disk. You can also use this dial to move the blade into a flush position with the rest of the disk for safer storage.

#4 How can I disassemble the adjustable slicing disc?

Turn the adjusting knob counterclockwise. This requires some force. You can pull the knob off the carrier disc after you have heard a click.

#5 How can I store the cord?

Push the mains cord into the cord storage compartment at the back of the appliance.

#6 Can I pour boiling hot liquids into the blender jar?

No, you must not pour very hot ingredients into the blender jar as it may damage the jar and its accessories.

If you want to pour ingredients, like boiled spinach for pureeing, into the jar, first let the ingredients cool down to a temperature of less than 80°C / 175°F to avoid damaging the appliance.

#7 Can I crush ice with this food processor?

Please only use the blending jar attachment to crush ice. We advise you do not use the main processing bowl with chopping knife, because it may blunt the blades.

#8 Can I disassemble the balloon beater to clean it properly?

Yes, you can. First pull the beater from the housing.
Then take out the two gearwheels. To reassemble this accessory, first insert the larger gearwheel and then the smaller gearwheel into the housing.
