Honeywell RWD41/T Questions and Answers

#1 Is the sensor cable reusable? Can i just dry it off after the alarm goes off n use it again?

Yes it is reusable. When I demonstrate it to someone I just pinch the cable between two wet fingers and it goes off. I then dry off the cable and the alarm stops. Pretty neat demo.

#2 All these type detectors run on batteries They do not have to be plugged in?

The Honeywell RWD41 Water Defense Alarm uses a 9 volt battery (not included) and there is no provision for an AC adapter/transformer. Great little unit, extremely sensitive. Not as loud as I would like but you can still here it within a closed door mechanical room or sump closet.

#3 Is there a wired output to connect to house alarm?

There is no wired output

#4 How loud is the alarm?

Not loud. You have to be within a few feet to hear it. If you install it on a different floor or in a location you don't frequent you probably will not hear it. Look elsewhere.
