#1 How do I know what power level to use on my induction cooktop surface?

If you were accustomed to using Low, Medium or High settings, we want help you become familiar with the settings on your Induction range.

#2 How do I clean stainless steel?

For stainless steel models, we recommend using Frigidaire ReadyClean Stainless Steel cleaner. It provides streak-free shine, protective coating repels dust and dirt, and gently cleans tough stains. Wipe with the grain to prevent scratching. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using.

#3 Where can I find my model and serial number?

The location of your model / serial number may vary, but it’s most commonly found in one of the following locations:
- Along the interior-side trim of the oven and visible when the door is opened
- On the left-side panel and visible when the door is opened
- On the front frame of the storage / warmer drawer panel and visible when the drawer is opened.

#4 Why does my surface element appear to go on and off on my ceramic glass cooktop?

- Radiant elements have a limiter that allows the element to cycle ON and OFF, even on the HI setting.
- Cycling at the HI setting is normal and will occur more often if the cookware is too small for the radiant element or if the cookware bottom is not flat. The element will retain enough heat to provide a uniform and consistent heat during the off cycle.

#5 What do the indicator lights on my range mean?

- Your appliance may be equipped with 2 different types of surface indicator lights - the element on indicator light and/or the hot surface indicator light.
- The element on indicator light is usually located on the display panel and will illuminate when a surface element is turned ON.
- A quick glance at this indicator light after cooking is an easy way to be sure ALL surface controls are turned OFF. The hot surface indicator light is usually located on the display panel and will illuminate when any surface cooking area heats up and will remain on until the glass cooktop has cooled to a moderate level.

#6 Why does my Induction Range make noises when I’m cooking?

- Some cookware can hum or buzz when used in induction cooking. The surface and oven controls click as they work to create even cooking temps.
- Temp changes during preheat and cool-down can make parts of the range expand and contract.
- Different fans run to heat up the oven or cool down different parts of the range, even when it’s off.

#7 What does it mean if my display shows a – (dash)?

The cooktop is locked. To cancel the oven Lock feature, press OFF and hold for 6 seconds. The control will unlock the oven door and resume normal operations.

#8 How do I use my display or controls?

- Since our products may vary by model, please reference your Owner’s Manual for more information.
- You will find easy steps for topics such as: How to set your clock or timer, temperature settings and child lock.
