Selecting a Labeling Application Type
EDITING A LABEL
You can select six different types of labeling applications.
GENERAL
Labels printed with this mode can be used for general purposes. In this
mode you can specify the following items.
Label Length: Auto, 1.0" (25 mm) - 39.0" (999 mm)
Orientation: (Horizontal), (Vertical)
FACEPLATE
Labels printed with this mode can be used to identify various faceplates.
Block of text is evenly spaced on a single label. In this mode, you can
specify the following items.
Label Length: 2.0" (50 mm), 1.0" (25 mm) - 39.0" (999 mm)
# of Blocks: 1, 1 - 5
Orientation: (Horizontal), (Vertical)
CABLE WRAP
Labels printed with this mode can be wrapped around a cable or wire.
We recommend using Flexible ID Tape or Self-Laminating Tape for
Cable Wrap labels.
In CABLE WRAP mode, the text is printed as shown in the illustrations.
You can specify the following items.
•UOM: Dia(Ø) (Custom Diameter), Length (Custom Length), CAT5/6,
CAT6A, COAX, AWG, Rot.90
Value: Depending on UOM
Repeat: On, Off
Cross-ID: Off, On
Text: Type in single or multiple lines of data
Selecting a Labeling Application Type
When the GENERAL mode is selected, you can press the Shift key
and then press the Enter key to add a new block.

When using Flexible ID Tape:
When wrapping labels around cylindrical
objects, the diameter of the object (1) should
be at least 0.12" (3 mm).
The overlapping ends of the label or the
label flag (2) should be at least 0.2" (5 mm).

When using Self-Laminating Tape:
The text is horizontally printed.
When you insert the Self-Laminating Tape and select CABLE WRAP, you can specify
the following items.
- Label Length: Auto, 1.0" (25 mm) - 12" (300 mm)
- V.Offset (Adjusts Vertical Position): -7, -6, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, +1, +2, +3, +4, +5, +6, +7
- Cross-ID: Off, On
