Yourvehicleisequippedwithaduallockingmode
retractorontheshoulderbeltportionofthe
combinationlap/shouldersafetybeltforfrontseat
passengersandalocking“cinchtongue”forrear
outboardpassengers.
Duallockingmoderetractorsoperateintwo
ways:
Vehiclesensitive(emergency)locking
mode
Inthisoperatingmode,theshoulderbeltretractor
willallowtheoccupantfreedomofmovement,
lockingtightonlyonhardbraking,hardcornering
orimpactsofapproximately5mph(8km/h)or
more.Theretractorcanalsobemadetolockby
pullingthebeltoutquickly.
Automaticlockingmode
Inthisoperatingmode,theshoulderbeltretractor
willbeautomaticallylockedandwillremainlocked
whenthecombinationlap/shouldersafetybeltis
buckled,anddoesnotallowtheoccupantfreedom
ofmovement.Thismodeprovidesthefollowing:
